Cultivating a heavenly art came with requirements. An ordinary person needed to be at least a True Immortal before they could even attempt to cultivate one.
Exceptional geniuses, however, could cultivate heavenly arts as early as the fourth-grade True Immortal level.
But with Chu Feng's level of comprehension, he could actually have begun cultivating a heavenly art back when he was only a third-grade True Immortal.
Though Chu Feng had fought Yuwen Tingyi, Yuwen Hualong, Han Yu, and even Xia Yun'er in succession—emerging victorious each time—he had come to realize just how formidable heavenly arts truly were. He felt it was imperative that he master one as soon as possible.
And what Chu Feng needed to do now was cultivate a particular heavenly art: the Qi Poison Flow.
At Chu Feng's current level, any technique that wasn't excessively difficult to learn required no tedious repetition through practical application. He simply needed to understand the method of its execution, and once he had thoroughly comprehended it—making it clear and familiar in his mind—he could naturally unleash it.
This heavenly art, the Qi Poison Flow, was relatively simple for Chu Feng to cultivate in his current state.
As a result, while en route, it took Chu Feng a mere single day to fully master it.
If the people of the Sacred Pill Manor knew of this, they would surely be astounded.
After all, even for them, reaching mastery of a heavenly art at Chu Feng's cultivation level within such a short time would be absolutely impossible. To achieve it through pure understanding alone, without a single practical attempt—that was something they wouldn't even dare to imagine.
Yet Chu Feng had done exactly that.
Having mastered a heavenly art, Chu Feng gained an even deeper appreciation for the fact that heavenly arts were the most powerful offensive tools available to True Immortal-level experts.
Take the heavenly art he had just mastered, the Qi Poison Flow, for example.
Although this art could only be used once within a given period, its power was far from ordinary. It served to weaken the opponent's heavenly art while simultaneously diminishing their combat strength.
Once unleashed, it might not immediately defeat the opponent, but it would render them utterly incapable of contending with Chu Feng.
The Qi Poison Flow could be considered a somewhat unusual type of heavenly art, but without question, it was an incredibly potent one.
"Sigh, if I had known earlier that this art was so effective, I would have cultivated it long ago. I wouldn't have nearly lost to Han Yu," Chu Feng lamented.
He felt a twinge of regret for not having cultivated this art sooner.
Though Chu Feng had ultimately won his battle against Han Yu, only he himself knew how close a call it had been.
If Han Yu hadn't been underestimating his opponent, the one who lost might well have been Chu Feng.
For instance, if Han Yu had unleashed that second-stage heavenly art from the very start, even with his secret techniques protecting him, Chu Feng would have inevitably sustained grievous injuries.
At that point, even though Han Yu would have suffered the backlash in return, his injuries would still have been far lighter than Chu Feng's.
Had the fight dragged on, the outcome truly would have been anyone's guess.
"It's not too late to cultivate it now, is it? You've got plenty of time while traveling. Chu Feng… why don't you commune with the World Spirit?" the queen suggested.
"Commune with the World Spirit? Right now?" Chu Feng was taken aback. He was, after all, not particularly inclined to form contracts with other World Spirits.
"You promised this queen before, and now you want to go back on your word?"
The queen immediately pouted, hands on her hips, looking ready to fly into a rage if he didn't comply at once.
"I wouldn't dare, I wouldn't dare. I'll give it a try right now, alright?" Chu Feng said.
As he spoke, he sank his consciousness inward and entered the World Spirit Space.
To commune with a World Spirit, Chu Feng had to bring his consciousness into the World Spirit Space, for it served as the gateway connecting to the World of Cultivation's spiritual realms.
"Hehe, don't be angry. I'll start trying right now."
With those words, Chu Feng sat cross-legged on the ground, preparing to begin the communion.
"You must be sincere. Don't you dare fool this queen. If you're not genuine about it, I'll know," the queen said, watching over him with a stern expression.
Under such scrutiny, how could Chu Feng dare not take it seriously? He devoted all of his focus to the task, pouring his full effort into communing with the World Spirit.
