"Big Brother Chu Xianshuo only enters the hunting ground on the tenth day," the fair-faced young man added.
Chu Feng lifted him up by the collar and stared into his eyes. "Is that the truth?"
"It is. I'm not lying to you — if you don't believe me, ask them," the fair-faced young man said firmly.
Yet even as he spoke, his gaze flickered unsteadily, and his mouth trembled. It was plain to see that he was terrified of Chu Feng.
"Good. Then I'll wait until he comes on the tenth day," Chu Feng said.
As he spoke, he withdrew the power of the barrier that had been suppressing the Chu Heavenly Clan's juniors.
"Can… can we go now?"
Seeing that he had regained his freedom, the fair-faced young man asked timidly.
"You may go. But before you do, hand over every Spirit Beast Bone you've collected," Chu Feng said.
"What?" Hearing this, the fair-faced young man was visibly reluctant.
"Then I'll help myself."
As Chu Feng spoke, he swept his wide sleeve through the air. The Universe Bags hanging from the waists of the Chu Heavenly Clan's juniors all flew off and landed before him.
Chu Feng personally opened each one and took out every Spirit Beast Bone inside.
But the quantity surprised him. There were so many juniors from the Chu Heavenly Clan — not only had they been hunting Spirit Beast Beasts themselves, they had even robbed others. Yet when all their hauls were combined, it amounted to barely over ten thousand bones — far less than what Chu Feng had obtained on his own.
It was truly disappointing.
"You lot are really hopeless."
After extracting the Spirit Beast Bones, Chu Feng returned the Universe Bags to the Chu Heavenly Clan's juniors.
He took only the Spirit Beast Bones and left every other treasure completely untouched.
And yet, even this gesture still drew the displeasure of the Chu Heavenly Clan's juniors.
"You… this is robbery!" the fair-faced young man accused Chu Feng, his tone full of reproach.
As though he were some righteous moral authority standing on the high ground, and therefore had every right to condemn Chu Feng.
Far from taking such an accusation to heart, Chu Feng simply smiled faintly and said: "Let me make one thing clear today — I am robbing you, plain and simple. What exactly can you do about it?"
"……"
The Chu Heavenly Clan's juniors were rendered speechless, because the truth was — they truly could not do a thing to Chu Feng.
"In fact, let me tell you something else. Today, I, Chu Feng, am not just going to rob you — I'm going to make sure you end up at the very bottom of this hunt," Chu Feng said.
"At the very bottom?"
"What… what is that supposed to mean?"
"You… you said — you said if we handed over the Spirit Beast Bones, you'd let us go!" the fair-faced young man protested.
In truth, his calculations had been quite clear-headed. As long as Chu Feng let them leave, what did it matter if they gave up those Spirit Beast Bones? The hunt had only been underway for a single day — there were still nine full days left to continue hunting, to continue robbing others. As soon as they regained their freedom, they could get back to it. And once Chu Xianshuo entered the hunting ground, that would be when Chu Feng's luck ran out.
"Don't worry. I will let you go," Chu Feng said.
As he spoke, his hands suddenly shifted through a series of seals, condensing a specialized barrier formation. He then raised his arm, and the formation shattered into dozens of streaks of light, each one landing on the body of a Chu Heavenly Clan junior.
"What… what did you just do to us?"
At that moment, the Chu Heavenly Clan's juniors panicked. They could feel a binding force closing around them.
"Nothing much. I simply sealed your barrier powers," Chu Feng replied with a faint smile.
"You can go now."
"Damn you — you're despicable!!!"
The faces of the Chu Heavenly Clan's juniors had turned green with fury.
Indeed, Chu Feng had let them go. But — their barrier powers had been sealed.
This place already forbade the use of force, and if they could no longer use their barrier powers either, then they would be nothing more than helpless cripples. Not only would they be unable to continue hunting or robbing anyone else — even surviving in the hunting ground would become a problem.
"Despicable? Compared to you lot, I'm afraid I don't even come close," Chu Feng said.
