"Since you've come, why not reveal yourselves?"
The yellow-robed elder spoke.
His tone was not heavy, yet his voice carried far.
"There are some people you cannot afford to touch." A voice came from directly ahead of the three.
Boom— At that very moment, the Blue Demon Killing God struck. He threw a single punch, and vast martial power surged forth, transforming into a pillar of golden light that connected heaven and earth, hurtling straight ahead.
The ground churned, splitting apart in countless cracks in an instant. Even the molten magma buried deep underground roiled and boiled, erupting from the earth's surface. The space above the void was shattered to pieces as well, plunging heaven and earth into absolute darkness.
However, the void quickly mended itself.
At that moment, the land below had already become utterly unrecognizable.
Across the surface, stretches of earth spanning several li were riddled with deep, gaping fissures. Scalding, crimson magma surged and erupted through those cracks, sweeping across the land like a tide.
The earth below looked like hell itself.
Yet high above, the dark clouds continued to churn, lightning continued to crackle, and the rain continued to pour—still obscuring their vision.
"What?"
Seeing this, the Blue Demon Killing God's gaze shifted instantly, and he turned to look at the elder.
At that moment, whether it was the elder or the Holy Deer Venerable, both of their faces were filled with utter astonishment.
These three—figures who had always stood above others—were now panicking.
This could hardly be blamed on them. They were well aware of the Blue Demon Killing God's strength, and the power behind that earlier punch had been anything but ordinary.
In truth, that single punch had indeed caused tremendous devastation to the land of the Hundred Refinements Mortal World.
And yet, it had not the slightest effect on the thunderclouds above the sky, nor on the torrential downpour.
This could only mean one thing—none of the three of them was a match for that presence.
"I apologize. We had no idea that someone of your caliber was backing Chu Feng."
"If we had known, we would never have harbored such malicious intentions. Might you let us go on account of our ignorance?"
The elder actually cupped his fists in a formal bow and begged for mercy.
While it may have looked embarrassing, it was the wise choice—the choice of a shrewd mind. Once it was clear they were no match for their opponent, conceding was the best course of action.
Moreover, the elder's manner of yielding was not humble in the slightest.
"If I had wanted to kill you, you would already be dead." The voice spoke once more.
"Thank you, Senior, for your mercy." The elder hurriedly expressed his gratitude.
"Senior?"
"Heh, don't call me so old—your age far surpasses mine." The voice replied.
Hearing this, the elder, the Holy Deer Venerable, and the Blue Demon Killing God exchanged glances, the shock in their eyes growing even deeper.
Younger than them, yet possessing strength that surpassed theirs. This could only mean one thing—the person they had provoked was someone extraordinary, a figure of resounding reputation throughout the entire star domain.
They had truly stirred up massive trouble this time.
They had known beforehand that someone like Chu Feng surely had backers behind him.
But they had never imagined that his backer would be this powerful.
In that moment, regret flooded the hearts of all three.
"I'm sorry, truly sorry. If I had known Chu Feng had this sort of background, not even ten times my courage would have been enough for me to entertain thoughts of killing him."
The elder apologized once more, and spoke honestly, because he reasoned that with such formidable power, their opponent had surely heard every word of their earlier conversation.
At a time like this, speaking the truth and adopting the right attitude was far better than spouting nonsense.
But after this apology, the voice fell silent.
