"There's actually such a thing."
Chu Feng grew more and more excited the more he thought about it — two people separated by the vast expanse of the stars, who should never have met, yet could encounter each other inside this Heavenly Palace Sacred Temple. How inconceivable was that?
Now *that* was truly beyond imagination.
But what Chu Feng looked forward to wasn't clashing with others. He was simply eager to see that miraculous Heavenly Palace Sacred Temple.
"Of course, the chances of something like that happening are exceedingly small. At the very least, I've never witnessed it myself, and among everyone I know, no one has ever encountered it either. So you can rest easy — I doubt you'll run into anything like that," Young Master Liming said.
"So it seems you've entered the Heavenly Palace Sacred Temple more than once. I'm growing more and more curious about just who you really are."
At this moment, Chu Feng regarded Young Master Liming with even greater interest. Whether it was the treasures this young lady possessed or the breadth of her knowledge, it was plain to see she was no ordinary person.
Chu Feng grew ever more certain that she could not possibly be from the Hundred Refinements Ordinary Realm. Otherwise, there was no way she could know so much — far less possess so much.
"My affairs are none of your concern. Go pick out what you want."
As she spoke, Young Master Liming tossed the Lock Bead in her hand toward Chu Feng's palm.
The Lock Bead landed precisely where Chu Feng's Release Bead sat, and the two collided.
Hummm—
In the next instant, brilliant light flooded Chu Feng's vision, and the scene around him transformed completely.
Chu Feng was no longer inside the Demon Extinguishing Cave. He found himself standing amid the vast expanse of the stars.
His feet hovered in empty space. As far as the eye could see, there were nothing but countless, endlessly shimmering stars — even looking downward, the stars stretched on without end.
The feeling was so real, so vivid.
Beautiful — and not merely beautiful. That sensation of overwhelming grandeur crashed into him from every direction, battering his mind and soul.
It showed Chu Feng what true magnificence was, what true boundlessness meant.
"So this is what lies beyond the heavens."
Even Chu Feng, steady as he was, felt his hairs stand on end with excitement.
Because he couldn't be certain — couldn't tell whether what lay before him was an illusion or reality.
If it was real, that truly shouldn't be possible. After all, he was still inside the Demon Extinguishing Cave and hadn't moved an inch.
But if it was an illusion, it felt so impossibly real that Chu Feng couldn't find a single flaw.
"Chu Feng, look ahead!" Suddenly, Her Majesty let out an excited cry.
Chu Feng could see it now — in the midst of that dazzling, boundless starfield, directly ahead of where he gazed, a blinding golden radiance had appeared.
The light was too brilliant, too resplendent. It was so intense that Chu Feng found it even more dazzling than the blazing sun.
But soon, that piercing glare gradually faded, and Chu Feng could make out the shape of a great gate.
It was the same gate depicted inside the Lock Bead — and now it was hurtling toward him at tremendous speed.
The closer it drew, the more Chu Feng could feel the gate's majestic grandeur, its overwhelming presence.
Large… astonishingly large. The gate was far bigger than Chu Feng had imagined.
He even suspected that this single gate might be larger than the entire landmass of the Nine Provinces Continent.
Rumble rumble rumble—
With a deafening roar, the golden gate swung open. And once it had fully opened, it had already arrived right before Chu Feng, swallowing him inside.
More accurately, it didn't feel like being swallowed by a gate — it felt like being swallowed by an entire world.
In the next moment, Chu Feng found himself in an entirely new world.
He stood inside a hall of resplendent gold, magnificent beyond measure. Chu Feng had entered countless halls and even explored more than his share of ancient ruins.
But never before had he seen architecture so awe-inspiring.
The floor beneath his feet appeared to be made of gold, yet it didn't look assembled from pieces — it looked as though it had been formed in a single, seamless stroke, one unified whole. Even Chu Feng couldn't detect the slightest trace of jointing.
Everything around him also seemed to be crafted from gold, yet it wasn't truly gold. It resembled some material many times more precious.
Because in Chu Feng's estimation, this substance was indestructible — gold could never come close to that level.
Simply put, this place was forged entirely from rare treasures, from materials almost never seen in the mortal world.
And it was vast. Incredibly vast.
