"No need to rush — I'll come deal with you shortly." Sensing the gaze of the Dark Palace Master's true body, Moon Immortal spoke coldly.
"I know what you're thinking. You want to finish off my remaining four clones first, then come deal with me, don't you?"
"Unfortunately, I'm afraid I won't be giving you that chance. After all, I still need them to break open the Gate of Illusion." The Dark Palace Master said.
"That chance isn't yours to give — it's mine to seize." With those words, the Emperor Weapons in Moon Immortal's hands grew even more fierce, and her attacks grew increasingly savage.
Once she confirmed that those clones were the key to breaking open the Gate of Illusion, she became all the more determined to destroy them.
"Oh?" The Dark Palace Master smiled faintly, then abruptly wiped the smile from his face, his gaze turning eerily cold.
Boom— A thunderous boom erupted, and the earth in that area shattered in an instant. The Dark Palace Master transformed his massive body into a streak of dark light that shot skyward, hurtling toward Moon Immortal at inconceivable speed.
Boom— Everything happened too fast. Apart from the piercing explosion and the surging ripples of energy, not a single person could make out what was happening outside.
All they knew was that after the Dark Palace Master soared into the sky, a vicious wave of energy ripples erupted, swallowing everything in sight in an instant.
At that moment, the Elf King and Sky-Reaching Immortal exchanged increasingly grim glances.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh— Suddenly, a violent gale erupted, as if determined to blow everything away. Under this ferocious wind, the dark energy ripples were forcibly scattered apart.
At that point, the people discovered with astonishment that the pitch-black sky outside had returned to normal.
Although the surface of the earth was riddled with scars, the sky above once again showed blue sky and white clouds.
Boom— Boom— Boom— Boom— Four deafening blasts rang out in succession, and the earth trembled once more. Four colossal figures plummeted from the sky — they were the Dark Palace Master's four clones.
Although the four clones came crashing down, everyone's eyes remained fixed on the heavens above, searching for the figures of Moon Immortal and the Dark Palace Master's true body.
And within that vast expanse of white clouds, after a moment of searching, people like the Elf King were stricken with shock.
There were no longer colossal figures in the sky. Instead, three figures stood there.
One of them was the Dark Palace Master. Not only had he reverted to his previous human form, but thunder armor and thunder wings now enveloped his body. As the lightning surged around him, his aura was no longer that of a First-rank Half Ancestor — it had retreated to the Ninth-rank of Martial Emperor.
Though his aura had weakened, the Dark Palace Master showed no panic. On the contrary, a smug grin spread across his face as he held his two Emperor Weapons in each hand, toying with them casually.
The other two figures were Su Rou and Su Mei — or more precisely, Moon Immortal.
But at that moment, both of them bore a gruesome, bleeding wound, with blood flowing without cease.
Moon Immortal… had actually been injured!!!
"Not good."
In that instant, the Elf King and Sky-Reaching Immortal couldn't help but blurt out. The thing they least wanted to happen had come to pass after all.
"How can this be?" Many of the powerful fighters realized that Moon Immortal had been wounded by the Dark Palace Master, but they were utterly bewildered.
After all, Moon Immortal's aura was clearly far more formidable than the Dark Palace Master's. How could she possibly have been injured?
"Your Majesty, what's going on?" Unable to make sense of it, the crowd turned to the Elf King.
