After a lengthy journey, Chu Feng finally arrived at the legendary Strange Stone Arena together with the Limitless Immortal.
"So this is the Strange Stone Arena. It truly is extraordinary."
Taking in the sight before him, Chu Feng's expression shifted, and the corners of his mouth curved slightly upward.
What had once been a flat plain was now covered in stones of all sizes. The stones came in all manner of shapes — some resembled humans, others resembled beasts. Although the Martial Holy Land was home to countless wondrous stones, just one glance at these particular ones gave Chu Feng a peculiar feeling.
These stones were no ordinary rocks.
And yet stones exactly like these blanketed the vast plain, numbering in the hundreds of thousands. The sight was nothing short of spectacular.
"It is indeed extraordinary. The reason these stones are called 'strange stones' is because they are indestructible, and not a single one can be taken away," the Limitless Immortal explained.
"That seems almost too incredible. Could these stones be supreme treasures?" Hearing this, Chu Feng was quite surprised.
"They are not supreme treasures. Throughout history, many people have studied these stones — even I myself have done so."
"Although these stones give off a very special impression and are indeed indestructible, in truth they are nothing more than ordinary stones. They are not supreme treasures of any kind," the Limitless Immortal said.
"Ordinary stones? How can ordinary stones be indestructible and impossible to take away?" Chu Feng was even more astonished.
"According to my Master, this place is called the Strange Stone Arena because there is a special kind of power here — and it is that power that protects these strange stones."
"Although no one knows why that special force exists to protect these ordinary stones, the invisible power is undeniably tied to them. Perhaps that is why this place came to be called the Strange Stone Arena," the Limitless Immortal elaborated.
"I see." Chu Feng nodded.
"Chu Feng, now that we have entered the Strange Stone Arena, can you sense the treasure?" the Limitless Immortal asked.
"I cannot sense it yet. I need to set up a formation. Once the formation is complete, it will manifest a treasure map — and that treasure map will reveal where the treasure is hidden," Chu Feng explained.
"So the treasure map is here, but the treasure itself is hidden somewhere else?" the Limitless Immortal asked.
"That should be the case," Chu Feng said.
"That ancestor was truly cautious. I thought all we needed to do was merge the Secret Skill and we could unlock the treasure he left behind. I didn't expect it to be this troublesome," the Limitless Immortal remarked.
"However, since we've already come this far, we might as well give it a try. Go ahead and set up the formation, Chu Feng. I'll stand guard for you," the Limitless Immortal said.
"I appreciate it, Senior." Chu Feng nodded in agreement, then without hesitation made his way to the center of the Strange Stone Arena. Hovering in midair, he began to set up the formation.
Chu Feng worked through the formation at remarkable speed, but watching him was the Limitless Immortal, whose expression shifted again and again in pure astonishment. The formation Chu Feng was constructing was far too complex.
If Chu Feng had explained it to him, he might have understood, but without explanation, the Limitless Immortal truly could not follow.
Though he couldn't comprehend the details, he could still feel the terrifying power contained within the formation.
It was precisely because this formation was so terrifying, and so extraordinarily complex, that he marveled at how Chu Feng could even build it. In his place, the Limitless Immortal knew he would be utterly incapable.
"This young man's talent is truly monstrous. He may well become the first Immortal-Robe Spirit World Master our Martial Holy Land has seen since ancient times," the Limitless Immortal murmured, gazing up at Chu Feng as he constructed the magnificent formation across the sky, unable to hold back his praise.
