"Oh well, this princess has plenty of lives, so don't worry about it," Xian Miaomiao said with complete nonchalance.
But in Chu Feng's heart, the feelings were impossible to put into words.
If Xian Miaomiao hadn't had nine lives but only one, she would already be dead.
So Chu Feng couldn't just pretend nothing had happened simply because she had nine lives to spare. Xian Miaomiao had already died twice.
The first time was suicide — she had killed herself for his sake.

"What nonsense. This princess doesn't want your life — you could offer it and I'd refuse," Xian Miaomiao retorted with a pout. But moments later she said to Chu Feng, "Chu Feng, let me tell you something. Inside this Blood Devouring Killing Formation, not only is an ancient Fierce Beast sealed away, but there really is treasure."
"Treasure?" The word instantly piqued Chu Feng's interest.
"There really is. But it's unlike ordinary treasure — it's useless to most people. I think it might be useful to you, though. Just follow me." With that, Xian Miaomiao darted into the opening where Little Red had just burrowed through.
Seeing this, Chu Feng followed right behind her.
Entering the passage that Little Red had carved out, Chu Feng realized just how deep it went — impossibly, inconceivably deep.
And when he reached the bottom, his expression shifted dramatically, his face overtaken by wild elation.
Down in the depths lay an enormous pool of shimmering golden liquid. It looked as though it were forged from gold itself, vast enough to fill a small lake.
But this was no molten gold. It was a special kind of water — a supreme treasure of barrier arts.
"Chu Feng, do you know what this actually is?"
"I may not be a Spirit World Master, but even I can tell — these things are incredibly powerful. The sealing formation here must be sustained by them," Xian Miaomiao said.
"That's right. The sealing formation here is indeed maintained by this."
"If it weren't for the fact that this was hidden so deep, the Dark Hall would have found it long ago."
Chu Feng was a Spirit World Master, so he could see it clearly. This was the true core of the Blood Devouring Killing Formation — the most critical nexus of the entire array.
"Miaomiao, you've done me an enormous favor this time." Chu Feng was genuinely grateful.
"Thanks to my Life Pearl bringing me here, I never would have discovered it otherwise."
"So? Is this really useful to you?" Xian Miaomiao asked.
"Useful? It's beyond useful." Despite everything Chu Feng had just endured, the fact that he could be this excited was not without reason.
Chu Feng already had a method to help Her Majesty break the seal her mother had left behind. But he lacked the ability and the heavenly treasures needed to supply enough energy to shatter that formation. That was why he had believed breaking the seal on Her Majesty's body was an indefinitely distant goal.
Yet now, this golden liquid of unknown origin solved every problem he had previously thought unsolvable.
Within this golden water resided an extraordinarily powerful barrier force. With it, even if Chu Feng couldn't completely tear apart the sealing barrier his mother had placed on Eggy, he could at least release a portion of her cultivation.
"What exactly can it do?" Xian Miaomiao pressed, curiosity getting the better of her. She had originally brought him here just to comfort him — after all, even a supreme treasure could only be used to construct formations. What other practical use could it possibly have? It couldn't compare to real treasure.
But she had never expected that seeing these things would make Chu Feng this happy. It left her deeply curious — what exactly were these things, and how could they help him?
