"Really? Hurry, let me see." Xian Miaomiao extended her small hand, reaching out to take it.
"Be careful — this little thing is no simple matter. It took an enormous amount of effort to catch it, and it's very cunning." Chu Feng warned.
"Don't worry, I know. Hurry, give it to me, give it to me." Xian Miaomiao said, her face full of eagerness.
With no other choice, Chu Feng handed the little red insect to Xian Miaomiao. And he noticed that, in the very instant he passed it over…
The little red insect was actually looking at him — not just looking, but with a smug smile curling at the corner of its mouth, as if to say, "Kid, you're still too green to tangle with me."
"Chu Feng, did it take you as its dad?" Xian Miaomiao asked curiously as she took the little red insect.
"Take me as its dad? My ass. This little thing wasn't just born — it toyed with me for ages." Chu Feng said, brimming with resentment.
"Haha, is it that interesting?" Hearing Chu Feng's words, Xian Miaomiao grew even more excited. Then she looked down at the little red insect and asked, "Are you male or female?"
"Beautiful lady, I'm a girl," the little red insect said in a shy, gentle voice.
"Are you an Imperial-level Spirit Insect?" Xian Miaomiao continued to ask.
"Mhm." The little red insect nodded obediently.
"Keep pretending, then. Let's see how long you can keep it up." Seeing how the little red insect was putting on such a docile act in Xian Miaomiao's hand, Chu Feng couldn't help but look on with contempt. He knew all too well just how shameless this little thing really was.
Thankfully it was female. If it had been male, Chu Feng never would have handed it over to Xian Miaomiao — who knew what shameless things this brazen little creature might have tried to pull.
"Then do you have your own name?" Xian Miaomiao asked again.
"I do." The little red insect nodded.
"What is it?" Xian Miaomiao asked.
"My name is Lashi," the little red insect said proudly.
"Pfft!" Hearing this, Chu Feng — who had been drinking water — spat it straight out, staring at the little red insect in disbelief. He thought to himself, now that is one hell of a name.
"Lashi? Who gave it that name? Hahahaha — oh no, I can't take it, the Queen is going to die laughing!"
At that moment, Her Majesty was inside the Spirit Realm, clutching her belly, laughing so hard she was kicking her little legs, looking as though she might laugh herself to death.
"Lashi?" Xian Miaomiao furrowed her brows, her little face scrunched up in discomfort.
"That's right, my name is Lashi. La as in Lashi, shi as in Lashi. Pretty awesome name, isn't it? My dad said my name is definitely the most awesome name in the whole world." The little red insect said smugly, completely oblivious to anything wrong with it, wearing an expression of pure pride.
"No way — that name is terrible. I'm going to give you a new name," Xian Miaomiao said.
"A new name? You think you can come up with a name even more awesome than Lashi?" the little red insect said.
"Chu Feng, you're a Spirit World Master. Help me think of a name." Xian Miaomiao looked at Chu Feng and said.
"Just call it Little Red," Chu Feng said casually.
"Mm, Little Red — that's a nice name. Simple, easy to remember, and very fitting. Little Red it is then," Xian Miaomiao said.
