"Now do you understand the gap between us?"
Hearing those words, Ximen Feixue — already gravely wounded — felt his blood and qi churn violently. A massive mouthful of fresh blood sprayed from his lips.
Pfft— The blood hit the ground, still radiating rolling waves of heat. This was no ordinary blood — it was vital essence. He had truly been pushed to the edge of fury.
And who could blame him? Because those words from Chu Feng, ringing in his ears, were like an invisible blade stabbing straight into his heart.
"Impossible! Your cultivation was beneath mine back then — how could you possibly have caught up to me so quickly?" Ximen Feixue's face was a mask of disbelief. It wasn't that he truly didn't believe it — he simply refused to accept it. He could not stomach the fact that Chu Feng had surpassed him.
"Heh, I already told you — this is the gap between us." As Chu Feng spoke, he reached out and grabbed. A tremendous surge of suction erupted from his palm, ripping the Celestial Immortal Sword from Ximen Feixue's grip along with the Universe Bag at his waist, pulling both into his hand in one clean motion.
The crowd's hearts lurched. Chu Feng had not only crushed Ximen Feixue — he had seized his treasures right in front of everyone. Such brazen dominance was staggering.
"What are you doing?! Seeing his prized possessions snatched away, Ximen Feixue panicked. Ignoring his injuries, he lunged toward Chu Feng, desperate to reclaim the Celestial Immortal Sword.
"Scram." Chu Feng raised his leg and kicked Ximen Feixue flying tens of thousands of meters, sending him crashing to the ground far in the distance.
When he landed, his injuries had worsened significantly. Ximen Feixue no longer had the strength to rise.
Back in the Moon Worship Cloud City, Ximen Feixue had once been able to fight Chu Feng on relatively even terms. Now, he was no match whatsoever.
"Your four Great Imperial Clans already stooped to such despicable tricks — and on top of that, you had the audacity to provoke me in public. I've merely taken the Celestial Immortal Sword. I haven't even taken your life. You should be grateful I'm sparing you," Chu Feng said with a light chuckle, casually turning the Celestial Immortal Sword over in his hands.
"Chu Feng, return the Celestial Immortal Sword! You are not worthy of wielding it!" Ximen Feixue roared.
"Wielding it? The Celestial Immortal Sword is decent enough, but it pales in comparison to my Evil God Sword. I have no intention of using it — I'm simply planning to trade it for something," Chu Feng said with a soft laugh.
"You want to sell my Celestial Immortal Sword?! Chu Feng, you are courting death! My Ximen Imperial Clan will never let you go!" Ximen Feixue screamed in fury.
"As if your Ximen Imperial Clan would let me go even if I hadn't taken it."
"Everyone in the Martial Sacred Continent knows exactly what sort of people your Ximen Imperial Clans are. Stop embarrassing yourself here."
Chu Feng let out a cold snort. Having said his piece, he turned his back on Ximen Feixue. No matter how much further Ximen Feixue cursed or hurled insults, Chu Feng couldn't be bothered to spare him another glance.
Ximen Feixue may have once been worthy of standing against Chu Feng — but from this day forward, he would never again have that qualification.
"That Chu Feng — he's really something."
"Ximen Feixue running into an opponent like this… he really drew the short straw."
At that moment, people on every towering platform were watching the scene unfold, and many offered glowing assessments of Chu Feng.
"Hmph — he must have relied on the power of those two layers of lightning to elevate himself to the seventh-rank Half Emperor, right? If that's all he has, he still isn't the strongest one here." Yet from atop one of the towers, a figure sneered with cold derision.
Chu Feng had seen this person before — it was none other than Baili Xinghe, the closed-door disciple of the Weapon Refining Immortal.
For reasons unknown, Baili Xinghe was gazing down at Chu Feng with unmistakable hostility in his eyes.
"Hmm?"
Chu Feng's perception was extraordinarily sharp. The moment he detected the intense hostility radiating from Baili Xinghe's stare, he noticed it instantly and cast his gaze toward the source.
Upon realizing the hostility was coming from Baili Xinghe's tower, Chu Feng raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised.
