Little Fishy gave Chu Feng a thumbs-up.
Compared to Chu Feng, Little Fishy had far more interaction with Jie Tian.
Though she looked down on him, she knew Jie Tian was an incredibly proud person. Forcing him to submit was no easy feat.
"It's not that I'm amazing. It just shows how powerful the Scholar of Chaos is."
Chu Feng was referring to the restraining formation the Scholar of Chaos had laid down. Its power was formidable — so fearsome, in fact, that Jie Tian dared not endure the torture it inflicted and chose instead to submit to Chu Feng.
"Indeed, very powerful." Little Fishy nodded in agreement. She had personally experienced the strength of that restraining formation, so her words carried weight.
While Chu Feng and Little Fishy conversed, the three of them pressed onward.
The mist could obstruct one's vision. Even with their extraordinary abilities, visibility within the fog was extremely limited — barely better than an ordinary person's. All three remained on high alert.
Whoosh whoosh— Suddenly, Jie Tian, who walked at the front, formed hand seals and erected a defensive formation.
He was guarding against something.
Before long, Chu Feng and Little Fishy also noticed movement within the mist ahead.
Upon closer inspection, they found three stone steles.
The three steles stood there without blocking their path.
But all three of them observed them carefully. They knew there had to be something hidden within.
Sure enough, Chu Feng could make out the contents of two of the steles. Each contained a formation within.
One was a puzzle formation, and the other was a talent formation.
One tested one's ability to break formations, while the other tested one's innate talent.
Based on Chu Feng's deduction, all three steles should contain formations. He would need to break all three for the path ahead to remain clear. Otherwise... there would likely be trouble later.
But as for the third stele, Chu Feng simply could not see through it at all.
He turned his gaze toward Little Fishy, because after scanning all three steles, her eyes had immediately locked onto the third one — and remained fixed upon it.
"Did you discover something?" Chu Feng asked.
"It's a bloodline formation. After breaking it, we should receive something. I don't know what it is, but I have a feeling it will be useful later," Little Fishy said.
"Can you break it?" Chu Feng asked.
The reason he asked was that Little Fishy had been the only one to see through the third stele's contents. But given Chu Feng's observational abilities, how could he have failed to see it?
There were only two possibilities.
The first was that Little Fishy's perception truly surpassed his by a wide margin.
The second was that this stele was meant specifically for her.
Chu Feng was not arrogant, but he felt the first possibility was highly likely. And if that was the case, then the second possibility was the only logical conclusion.
"Leave this formation to me." Little Fishy winked at Chu Feng with her left eye — playful on the surface, but brimming with confidence.
"Then this bloodline formation is yours," Chu Feng replied. He then looked toward Jie Tian, who was examining the first and second steles.
"You can read these two steles, I trust?" Chu Feng asked.
"Tch~" Jie Tian curled his lip in contempt before turning his gaze to Chu Feng.
"I can break both of these formations. Pick whichever one you're confident in — I can handle either."
"Of course... if you can't break one, just stand aside and watch. I can break them all on my own."
