"How is this possible?! You… you… you actually—!!!" As Shen Tu Lang watched his two soul-bound weapons truly get plucked from his grasp by Chu Feng, his eyes bulged bigger than a bull's, filled with utter disbelief.
"I have to say, though these two weapons are a notch below my Asura Ghost Axe in quality, they're still among the better soul-bound weapons I've ever seen."
"Su Rou, Su Mei — how about I give you two these weapons to protect yourselves?" Chu Feng held up the two weapons and looked over at Su Rou and Su Mei with a grin.
"Yes!" The two of them answered in unison, beaming smiles across their faces.
Though these were powerful weapons — one blade, one sword — their appearance was rather elegant and refined, perfectly suited for a woman's hands. They were just right for Su Rou and Su Mei.
"You bastard! How dare you give away my weapons — do you look down on me that much?!" Seeing Chu Feng casually hand his treasures over as gifts, Shen Tu Lang was so furious his teeth ground together.
However, he wasn't all that worried. After all, these were soul-bound weapons — treasures linked to his very heart, which he could command at will.
And so, with a flash of light across his palms, an invisible force surged toward the two weapons in Chu Feng's hands. He was trying to recall them back to himself.
"Hmph." But Chu Feng merely gave a cold snort at Shen Tu Lang's efforts. His hands trembled slightly as a torrent of Heavenly Force poured into the two weapons.
Then came a boom — a muffled explosion that erupted from within the weapons. Shen Tu Lang's face drained of all color in an instant. The light on his palms vanished, and immediately after, a great mouthful of blood sprayed from his lips with a wet splash.
"What happened?!" Zhang Tianyi and the others were all stunned. Chu Feng hadn't laid a finger on Shen Tu Lang, so how had he taken such a devastating hit?
"You… you… you… you severed my connection to the weapons?!!" In that moment, all the arrogance had vanished from Shen Tu Lang's face, replaced by boundless terror.
As the one directly involved, he understood perfectly well what had happened. The reason he'd been so badly injured was none other than the fact that Chu Feng had just cut his bond with the two soul-bound weapons. To be precise, those two weapons were no longer his.
He had heard of severing someone's connection to their soul-bound weapons before, but that required a person whose strength far exceeded that of the weapon's owner. Right now, Chu Feng's aura was only at the sixth level of Heaven Martial — he shouldn't have been capable of such a thing.
And yet Chu Feng had done it anyway. Combined with all the other tricks he'd already pulled, Shen Tu Lang realized a terrifying truth: he was facing a truly fearsome opponent.
Whoosh.
Sensing things had gone badly wrong, Shen Tu Lang spun around and kicked up a swirl of wind beneath his feet, activating a movement martial technique to flee.
"Naive."
But Chu Feng merely flashed a contemptuous smile. Then, forming his hand into a claw, he reached out and grabbed at the empty air. A colossal surge of Heavenly Force erupted forth and coalesced into an enormous spectral hand that snatched Shen Tu Lang right out of the sky.
Crash. After ripping Shen Tu Lang down from the air, Chu Feng flung him hard into the ground.
"Ugh—AAAH!"
