Inside the main hall of the Weapon Vault, all the geniuses stood in place with complex expressions on their faces.
Even though the hall had returned to normal and the transparent barrier that had blocked them long since shattered, no one dared to step back inside the main hall rashly.
"What happened? What went on in the main hall?"
Before long, a familiar voice rang out, and two figures appeared outside the main hall.
It was Long Chengyu and Long Muxi.
Long Muxi made a beeline for Chu Feng. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine."
"How did you two come over here? Did something go wrong on your end as well?" Chu Feng suddenly grew anxious.
He feared that whatever had happened here might have affected Long Chengyu and Long Muxi too. If that were the case, he would truly blame himself.
"Chu Feng, don't worry. My sister and I already obtained our divine weapons," Long Chengyu said.
Upon hearing this, nearly every younger generation member present changed their expression — there was envy, but far more happiness. After all, Long Chengyu and Long Muxi were the future of the Totem Dragon Clan. For them to earn the recognition of a divine weapon was a blessing for the clan.
Of course, there were exceptions — like Long Yuhong. She didn't mind Long Chengyu obtaining a divine weapon, but she certainly didn't want Long Muxi to receive one.
"What happened here?" Long Chengyu asked the gathered juniors.
"Young Master Chengyu, if you want answers, you'd do better to ask Chu Feng."
It was Long Zhizhi — the granddaughter of Long Xu — who spoke in a snide tone, pointing a finger toward Chu Feng.
At those words, both Long Chengyu and Long Muxi turned their gazes to Chu Feng.
"I'm sorry. I'm afraid I may have caused trouble," Chu Feng said with a bitter smile, and then recounted the sequence of events — though he only described what had happened here. His own suspicions, he kept to himself.
"Oh? Brother Chu Feng, you actually managed to awaken the Silver Dragon Spear?"
"No wonder the Silver Dragon Spear was sealed away by a formation. It seems our clan had measures in place — only those of the Totem Dragon Clan could earn its recognition."
"But those countermeasures were set up by our ancestors long ago. They certainly weren't aimed at you, Chu Feng. Don't take it to heart."
After learning what had happened, Long Chengyu showed not the slightest anger. Instead, he tried to put Chu Feng at ease, which warmed Chu Feng's heart.
"You've already gone to great trouble on my behalf. How could I possibly take offense?" Chu Feng replied.
"Sigh, what trouble is there? I was the one who invited you here in the first place. The fact that these divine weapons chose to recognize you is a testament to your own ability, Brother Chu Feng."
"I just didn't expect that your abilities were this extraordinary — enough to cause such a commotion."
"I have to admit, I underestimated you before."
Long Chengyu spoke with a laugh, clearly still marveling at the situation. It was, after all, a truly significant event that he needed time to process.
But soon enough, he turned to the juniors behind him. "What are you all standing around for? Since everything's back to normal, get in there and try to commune with the divine weapons!"
Only after Long Chengyu said this did the juniors dare to step into the main hall. It wasn't that they hadn't wanted to go in before — they simply hadn't dared. The commotion earlier had been far too terrifying. Fortunately, they hadn't been inside the main hall at the time; otherwise, they might not have survived the sheer force of it.
Watching the juniors enter the main hall, Chu Feng opened his mouth as if to say something, but stopped himself. There were some things he could say, but it wouldn't matter — they would only believe it once they experienced it for themselves.
"Brother Chu Feng, you should go too. Don't dwell on what just happened. You should still try to commune with the divine weapons — don't miss this opportunity," Long Chengyu said when he noticed Chu Feng hadn't moved.
"I'll pass. The divine weapons here won't acknowledge me anymore," Chu Feng said.
"Oh?" At this, all the juniors turned to look at Chu Feng.
"What do you mean?" Long Muxi asked, her face already darkening with anger. Instinctively, she suspected that the Totem Dragon Clan had pulled some trick — putting on a show of letting Chu Feng in while secretly using formations to obstruct him. If that was the case, it was no different from mocking him, and the thought made her furious.
"Brother Chu Feng, was it caused by our clan's formations?" Long Chengyu asked, his expression turning grave as well, his earlier smile completely gone.
Though he typically spoke in a casual, easygoing manner, he was far from foolish. He had naturally arrived at the same suspicion.
