"What's that?"
Upon seeing the mark, Bai Yunqing's expression immediately changed, because upon closer inspection, the mark was clearly that of a scroll.
As Chu Feng infused the power of his formation into it, the scroll mark flew out from his palm and transformed into a normal-sized scroll.
"Whoa, Big Brother — could this be the reward you got from that hidden place?"
Bai Yunqing's face lit up with delight the moment he saw the scroll.
"That's right." Chu Feng smiled.
"So you did get a reward. That means you broke through the hidden place?" Bai Yunqing asked.
"Of course I did. And if I hadn't gone to save those people from the Jie clan, I might not have been able to break it at all."
Chu Feng held nothing back from Bai Yunqing. He told him everything — how he had broken the formation, and why he had gone to rescue the members of the Jie clan.
"So that's how it was. I should've known — with your personality, Big Brother, there was no way you'd save them for no reason."
"Now that you put it that way, it makes sense. That rescue was worth it — definitely worth it."
Bai Yunqing grinned from ear to ear, genuinely happy for Chu Feng.
But he didn't ask why Chu Feng had told Ling Mo'er that he hadn't obtained any reward.
Because Bai Yunqing understood that it was best not to let the people of the Seven Realms Sacred Temple find out about something like this.
After all, this place was under their control, and they naturally believed that everything here belonged to them.
If they found out that Chu Feng had obtained a reward, the Seven Realms Sacred Temple would surely come to demand it. In that case, Chu Feng would have no choice but to hand it over.
Otherwise... the Seven Realms Sacred Temple would never let the matter rest.
"Big Brother Chu Feng, so what's inside this scroll?"
"Is it the inheritance of this place?" Bai Yunqing asked curiously.
"Let me see."
As he spoke, Chu Feng unrolled the scroll. He didn't hide it from Bai Yunqing — in fact, he deliberately held the scroll toward him so they could both examine its contents together.
"It's too complicated. More riddles, and this is just way too difficult."
"As expected... obtaining the inheritance here isn't going to be easy."
After a thorough look, Bai Yunqing shook his head. He could feel just how difficult it would be to decipher this diagram.
"It really is difficult."
Chu Feng furrowed his brows as well. He could see that the scroll was far too hard to crack — much harder than he had imagined.
Even he was completely stumped. In fact, at first glance, the scroll seemed utterly unsolvable.
"Big Brother Chu Feng, take your time studying it. I'm going to go cultivate."
"This trip to the ancient temple has been incredibly fruitful. I should be able to break through to the Purple Dragon God Cloak," Bai Yunqing said.
"Go ahead." Chu Feng smiled.
Although he still hadn't found enough Life Crystals, both he and Bai Yunqing had gained considerable rewards.
His own gains were even greater — at the very least, this trip had been well worth it.
After that, Bai Yunqing went off to attempt his breakthrough, while Chu Feng continued studying the scroll.
It was worth noting that shortly after Bai Yunqing left, Chu Feng noticed that the contents of the scroll had actually changed.
"What the — is this scroll wary of Bai Yunqing?" Chu Feng exclaimed in surprise.
"Is it easy to crack now?" the Queen asked.
"Extremely easy — easier than you could imagine," Chu Feng said.
"Then it only wants you to decipher it. Do it quickly. Let's see what kind of inheritance this is," the Queen said.
