"My lord, I… I have my own difficulties as well," Little Crescent hastily spoke, her voice trembling.
But the Thunder Giant Beast did not respond.
This left Little Crescent at a loss for what to do, and her trembling only grew worse.
The Queen watched this scene unfold. Though her expression remained calm on the surface, inwardly she couldn't help but marvel — truly, there were always people beyond people, and skies beyond skies.
To her and Chu Feng as they currently were, Little Crescent was an immensely powerful existence.
Yet after the Thunder Giant Beast had unleashed its world-destroying power, Little Crescent had been reduced to this state of sheer terror.
She knew perfectly well that power could only be displayed within that world and could not harm her in the slightest — even if the beast wanted to, it couldn't.
But she was still afraid. Not because she was cowardly, but because the beast's oppressive aura was simply too overwhelming to resist.
In truth, however, the Thunder Giant Beast had no interest in paying Little Crescent any mind. It was currently conversing with Chu Feng.
More precisely, Chu Feng was the one who had initiated the conversation with the Thunder Giant Beast.
"Senior, why didn't you reveal yourself sooner? My Queen nearly died."
Chu Feng wasn't blaming the Thunder Giant Beast — he had been inside that world and had personally witnessed the power the beast had displayed.
It was truly destructive power. Power capable of annihilating countless stars and obliterating entire rivers of heaven. Truly unstoppable. Truly invincible.
With that kind of power, the beast certainly could have saved the Queen.
"You brat, blinded by love, your brain stopped working. This is a special space — my power can be fully unleashed here. But once I leave this place, I need a vessel. If the vessel isn't up to par, how could I possibly exert my power?" the Thunder Giant Beast said.
"Are you referring to me as the vessel?" Chu Feng asked.
"Who else would it be? Am I not damn well residing inside your body?" the Thunder Giant Beast replied irritably.
Chu Feng was left speechless. He had merely grumbled a little, and in return he got scolded by the beast.
"Besides, that guardian formation within your body could have fully protected you. It was that little girl who was too hasty. If you want to blame someone, blame the fact that she cares about you too much," the Thunder Giant Beast said.
Hearing this, Chu Feng felt a wave of heartache. Yes — he had already told the Queen about the guardian formation inside him.
But… the Queen had still chosen to risk her life. She must have been afraid that Chu Feng didn't actually have the formation, afraid that Chu Feng would die.
Still, Chu Feng suppressed his grief. This was his bloodline speaking to him directly for the very first time, and he didn't want to miss this opportunity.
"Senior, regardless of everything, you've finally chosen to speak with me."
"Junior has been waiting for so many years. The waiting has been agonizing," Chu Feng said, a note of grievance in his voice.
"What do you have to feel aggrieved about? Countless people live for tens of thousands of years and die without ever getting a chance to communicate with their own bloodline. How old are you?" the Thunder Giant Beast berated him.
"……" Chu Feng was momentarily struck silent, because what the beast said actually made sense.
"Whether I can reveal myself depends entirely on you. If your strength is insufficient, even if I wanted to help you, I couldn't."
"Remember — the warrior is the vessel. If you yourself aren't powerful enough, then no matter how strong the bloodline is, it can't help."
"This is why, with the same bloodline, some people can unlock three layers of bloodline power at the Half-God realm, while others can only unlock one."
"Limited comprehension plays a part, but mastery over the bloodline is the deciding factor. Without sufficient control, if the bloodline grants too much power, it will only lead to self-destruction."
"In truth, normally speaking, with your current cultivation, it isn't yet time for me to meet you. However, your talent is genuinely impressive."
"Your mastery of the Dao of Specialization has greatly enhanced your control over the bloodline. The fact that you can activate the Thunder Wings so effortlessly at the Half-God realm is proof enough."
"But your cultivation right now is truly too weak. Even with sufficient control, your body's durability isn't enough. There is a certain risk in me meeting you at this stage," the Thunder Giant Beast said.
"Senior, Junior does not fear risk. Since you've already appeared, why not give Junior some benefits? Could you grant me enough power to advance my cultivation?" Chu Feng said.
"Stop dreaming. Cultivation depends on yourself — otherwise, what's the point of training at all? Just stay home after you're born and wait for the bloodline inside you to power you up?"
The Thunder Giant Beast's words left Chu Feng completely at a loss for a comeback, because they made perfect sense.
"Brat, you've seen what my power can do, but how much of it can be wielded depends on you. You are the vessel. The stronger you are yourself, the greater the power I can bestow upon you."
"Between us, it is a partnership. Since I chose you, there is certainly a reason for it."
"I can grant you power, but whether you have the ability to bear it is another matter entirely."
"If you aren't strong enough, you won't be able to use even a fraction of my power. If I forced it into you, your body would explode and you'd die. In simpler terms — it would be a cultivation deviation. Understood?" the Thunder Giant Beast said.
"Junior understands. But Senior, you've finally made your appearance after all this time — surely you can offer some form of help. Even some guidance would be appreciated."
Chu Feng knew just how powerful the Thunder Giant Beast was. He had witnessed it long ago, and he knew he truly couldn't handle that kind of power right now. Every word the beast said was perfectly reasonable.
But the beast had finally shown itself, and if it merely dealt with the bloodline power and that was that, Chu Feng felt he'd be getting the short end of the stick.
"Fine. I'll give you some guidance. First — the guardian formation inside your body has overly restrictive activation conditions. But in truth, it is a martial power formation. You can try to sense and master it using your own martial power."
"If you can master this formation, you won't need to wait for it to trigger on its own. You'll be able to control it at will, and you'll never again have to suffer the tragedy of that little girl sacrificing herself to save you."
"Second — the Ninefold Thunder Slash. That technique was never fully opened. It is inherently a forbidden art — a method that burns one's bloodline."
"There was someone with decent talent but a frail body who successfully mastered the second slash of the Ninefold Thunder Slash. But the moment they unleashed the second slash, they died on the spot."
At this point, Chu Feng couldn't help but interject.
"Wait, Senior — are you saying that after mastering it, the very first time they used it, they died?" Chu Feng asked.
"That's right. Died on the very first use."
"Think about it — how many times have you used it? And you even chained the first and second layers together back-to-back."
