"You!!!"
"I'm going to f***ing kill you."
At that moment, Jia Chengying gnashed his teeth and charged toward Bai Yunqing, carrying with him a towering murderous intent.
"Get the hell down." But with a mere thought from Bai Yunqing, his oppressive might descended, and Jia Chengying dropped to the ground like a dead dog.
Right now, his cultivation and his barrier were both sealed — he had absolutely no power to fight.
"Whoa, Jia Chengying, that secret treasure of your Alchemy Dao Immortal Sect is really something. The effect's pretty great, huh."
Seeing that Jia Chengying was now completely powerless, Bai Yunqing laughed out loud with open mockery.
"Bai Yunqing, you dog spawn, I… I… I… Pffft!!!"
Jia Chengying's mouth opened, and a large mouthful of blood sprayed out.
That wasn't from any injury Bai Yunqing had dealt him — he had literally coughed up blood from pure rage.
"Fool."
Zhou Dong and Qin Shu watched Jia Chengying with not a shred of sympathy, feeling only that he was incredibly stupid.
If not for their trust in him, the two of them wouldn't have ended up in such a sorry state either.
Jia Chengying had now become what they considered a deadweight teammate.
"Bai Yunqing, you dare play me like this — I won't let you off," Jia Chengying snarled viciously.
"I was being polite to you out of respect for your Alchemy Dao Immortal Sect. You think I'm actually afraid of you? My Master is the Honored Guest Grand Elder of the Totem Dragon Clan," Bai Yunqing replied without the slightest fear, then turned to Chu Feng.
"Big Brother, how should we deal with them?" Bai Yunqing asked.
"Tie them up," Chu Feng said.
"Chu Feng! I'm Qin Xuan's own little brother! I'm warning you — give me the antidote right now, or my brother will never let you off!" Qin Shu threatened viciously.
"Qin Xuan?" Chu Feng paused slightly.
"That's right," Qin Shu said.
"Don't know him," Chu Feng replied.
"You… you don't know my brother?!!!" Qin Shu could hardly believe it — there was someone in this world who didn't know his brother?
"Big Brother, you really don't know him?" Bai Yunqing sidled up to Chu Feng and asked in a low voice.
"Really don't. Is his brother strong?" Chu Feng asked back.
"Strong — extremely strong. His brother Qin Xuan is currently the strongest young generation member of the Firmament Immortal Sect, and also one of the most talented cultivators in the entire Vast Martial Cultivation World."
Bai Yunqing explained in all seriousness, thinking it would be best for Chu Feng to know — after all, Qin Xuan was genuinely not someone you wanted to cross.
"So he's the Firmament Immortal Sect's top genius." Chu Feng put on a look of amazement.
When Qin Shu saw this, his face filled with smugness — but who could have expected that Chu Feng would suddenly turn to Qin Shu.
"But what does your brother being strong have to do with you?"
"Does your brother's strength in that area mean he'll stand in for you on your wedding night too?" Chu Feng asked.
"What… what are you saying? How can you be so shameless?!!!" Qin Shu was so furious his eyes nearly popped out of his skull.
"Shameless? You can't win, so you bring up your brother. I think you're not only shameless but also completely spineless — and you can't handle losing," Chu Feng shot back sarcastically.
Qin Shu was rendered utterly speechless. He… truly couldn't handle losing, but he refused to admit it.
"Don't move. I'll do the tying." Chu Feng glanced at Bai Yunqing, then condensed a barrier rope and walked toward the three.
Chu Feng did this deliberately. He had realized that Qin Shu's background was no simple matter, and that there would inevitably be attempts at revenge in the future — he didn't want Bai Yunqing taking on that grudge.
After all, Chu Feng was a man with nothing to lose. If they wanted revenge, let them come after him.
His ultimate goal was the Seven Realms Sacred Palace, after all. He didn't mind adding the Firmament Immortal Sect and the Azure Moon Divine Temple to the list — worst case, he'd eliminate them all together.
As for the poison, Chu Feng had already modified it, so he knew full well that while it wouldn't cause them any lasting harm, it would remain effective for thirty hours.
Which meant that for the next thirty hours, none of the three would have any combat ability whatsoever.
As long as they were bound up, they wouldn't be able to stir up any trouble.
As for why he didn't simply kill them to silence them — Chu Feng felt there was no need to escalate things that far just yet.
After all, the people from the Alchemy Dao Immortal Sect, the Firmament Immortal Sect, and the Azure Moon Divine Temple were all waiting outside. If their young geniuses didn't come out safely, they would inevitably point the finger at Chu Feng and the others.
Besides, they had only resorted to underhanded tactics — they hadn't actually done anything truly harmful to Chu Feng and his companions. If Chu Feng struck first with lethal force, he would genuinely be in the wrong.
Although offending them like this was already a done deal, there was still a difference between being on someone's bad side and outright killing them.
It wasn't that Chu Feng was afraid — it was simply that he now had his own standards for taking a life.
"Chu Feng, you actually dare to tie me up? Remember this — today's humiliation, I, Jia Chengying, will repay in full!" Jia Chengying threatened viciously as Chu Feng bound him.
"Shut up. Haven't you embarrassed yourself enough?"
But Chu Feng paid him no mind, offering only a contemptuous smile — which only infuriated Jia Chengying even more.
Qin Shu said nothing and made no attempt to struggle, but he glared at Chu Feng with the same vicious hatred.
Yet what Chu Feng hadn't expected was that when it came time to bind Zhou Dong — the one who had always been quiet and reserved — Zhou Dong actually spoke.
"Chu Feng, I advise you to release me and detoxify me. This formation will be very difficult for you to break on your own. Work with me, and I can help you dismantle it," Zhou Dong said.
"Sorry, but the poison was Jia Chengying's — I don't have the antidote."
"Even if I did have it, I wouldn't give it to you. I genuinely wanted to ally with you, but you struck at me from the shadows. If Bai Yunqing hadn't been on my side, the one being ambushed right now would have been me, Chu Feng."
"You no longer deserve to work alongside me," Chu Feng said.
"Heh…" To everyone's surprise, Zhou Dong let out a cold laugh, then said: "Chu Feng, you have no idea how difficult this formation truly is. Do you really think the two of you alone can break through this final stage?"
"I'll say it plainly — without my help, there's no way you can break it," Zhou Dong said.
