"You're awfully arrogant. Which sect are you from?"
The man was clearly infuriated by Chu Feng, but he seemed to harbor some wariness as well, so he didn't strike immediately.
"No sect."
Chu Feng replied.
"You think I wouldn't dare touch you?"
The man asked in a cold voice.
"I already said — you're welcome to try."
Chu Feng smiled.
"Bluffing, are you? Trying that trick on me?"
"Others might fall for it, but I don't buy that crap for a second."
As the man spoke, the power of a Dragon Transformation-level three formation erupted from his body and surged straight toward Chu Feng.
"Heh…"
Chu Feng smiled faintly, letting the force rush toward him without so much as flinching. But the instant it drew near, it dissipated on its own.
Because formation power also emerged from within Chu Feng's body.
"You!!!"
In that moment, the man's expression changed drastically. He had already realized that Chu Feng's strength far surpassed his own — Chu Feng was at the Dragon Transformation level nine.
Only now did he grasp what kind of being stood before him.
He no longer dared to posture. Instead, he spun around and fled.
The moment he turned, a glow appeared beneath his feet. Nearly every step he took produced a talisman seal on the ground, one that aided his rapid movement.
It was a movement-type formation technique, one that greatly boosted his speed.
But he had barely taken two steps before he let out a miserable shriek, clutching his face with both hands as fresh blood poured in streams through the gaps between his fingers.
It turned out Chu Feng had silently erected a formation wall behind him.
The man hadn't sensed the wall at all. Charging forward at full speed, he slammed into the unyielding barrier as though he had taken a devastating blow — his face had been crushed out of shape.
"What's wrong? Why run? I thought you were tough."
Chu Feng's voice rang out beside him. At the same time, every last blue stone surrounding the man flew through the air and drifted toward Chu Feng.
Chu Feng had used his formation power to forcibly seize the man's blue stones.
The man's expression was a tangled mess of emotions. He was terrified of Chu Feng, yet watching his stones be taken from him filled him with unwillingness.
"You — you dare rob me?"
"Do you know who I am?"
The man shouted furiously.
"Who are you, then?"
Chu Feng asked.
"I'm telling you — give those stones back, and I'll let this slide. Otherwise, my parents will never let you go."
The man threatened viciously.
But even as he spoke, the blood on his face flowed faster than ever. The sight was truly absurd.
"And who are your parents?"
Chu Feng asked again.
"You don't need to know, and you don't deserve to know. But the moment you lay eyes on my parents, you'll be on your knees begging for mercy."
"And when that time comes, even begging won't save you. You'll just have to wait to die," the man added.
"Here's some advice — keep a low profile. If your strength isn't enough, work harder at your cultivation. Don't hide behind your parents' names to scare people just because you can't win a fight."
"Let me put it this way: if you hadn't tried to rob me, I wouldn't have thought of robbing you."
"So this outcome? You reaped what you sowed."
"Even so, the grudge between us today is nothing more than a minor spat. So take my advice — quit while you're ahead, and don't bring trouble down on your parents."
With that, Chu Feng waved his sleeve and dismissed the formation wall blocking the man, then prepared to continue on his way.
"Dragon Transformation level nine — what's there to be smug about? You're just a bully who picks on the weak and fears the strong. If people from the Situ Spirit Gate were standing here, would you dare rob them?"
The man said, still indignant.
"The Situ Spirit Gate? If they stood before me, their fate would be far worse than yours." Chu Feng stopped in his tracks.
"You're all talk. You wouldn't dare lay a finger on anyone from the Situ Spirit Gate."
The man challenged.
"Wouldn't I?"
Chu Feng asked.
"If you really have the guts, then wait right here. I'll go fetch the Situ Spirit Gate people."
The man said.
"What, you know where they are?"
Chu Feng asked.
"Of course. I ran into them on my way here."
The man replied.
"Fine, go get them. Hurry — the sooner the better."
Chu Feng said.
"You wait right here."
The man shot past Chu Feng, but quickly stopped and looked back: "If you're a real man, don't run."
"Heh…"
Chu Feng chuckled, then spoke.
"I don't have time to waste. But I'll be heading in that direction. If you really can round up the Situ Spirit Gate people, look for me that way. You'll definitely find me."
Chu Feng pointed down a fork in the path ahead.
