Being called out by Chu Feng, Nangong Yuliu furrowed his brow ever so slightly.
After all, he had lost his wager against Chu Feng, so he harbored a measure of wariness toward the man.
But outwardly, he still put on an air of nonchalance, even a touch of arrogance.
"Chu Feng, I, Nangong Yuliu, have always been a man of my word."
"Zhao Shi has been grounded. Once she comes out, I will find her and apologize to her."
"There's no need for you to remind me of that."
Nangong Yuliu said to Chu Feng.
"As long as you remember. But keep in mind — the wager we made that day wasn't just to apologize to Senior Sister Zhao. You also agreed to let her slap you ten times."
"If Senior Sister Zhao won't do it, then I, Chu Feng, will do it in her place."
Chu Feng said.
"You'll do it in her place? What gives you the right?"
Nangong Yuliu asked.
"The right comes from the fact that you lost to me."
"What's the matter? Can't afford to lose?"
"That wager was your idea in the first place."
"If you can't afford to lose, just say so. I can let it go."
Chu Feng looked at Nangong Yuliu with cold mockery in his eyes.
This put Nangong Yuliu in an incredibly difficult position — admitting he couldn't afford to lose was essentially slapping his own face.
"Nangong Yuliu, I told you before — even after winning the wager, I was willing to let things go. All you had to do was apologize to Senior Sister Zhao. Whether she slaps you or not would be her call."
"But you just had to push it. I, Chu Feng, was willing to let it slide, but you refused to let me."
"You brought this upon yourself. Those slaps are inescapable."
Chu Feng spoke once more.
"Chu Feng, you certainly are basking in the glory today."
"But let me remind you — don't think that just because you got lucky and pulled off a few things, you can rule supreme within the Wulong Martial Sect."
"At the end of the day, you're nothing but a disciple."
Nangong Yuliu said.
"Nangong Yuliu, let me remind you of something as well — always leave yourself a way out, so we can meet again on better terms."
"I, Chu Feng, may indeed be just a disciple, but you're no emperor either."
"The grudge between us can end after Senior Sister Zhao gives you those slaps."
"But if you keep refusing to save face, I, Chu Feng, will make you truly understand what it means to regret with no way back."
Chu Feng said.
"Ha ha ha ha ha…"
Hearing this, Nangong Yuliu burst into wild laughter.
"Regret with no way back?"
"I'd very much like to see how you manage that."
Nangong Yuliu smiled with contempt, his gaze toward Chu Feng brimming with provocation.
Having tossed out those words, he soared into the sky and departed.
Though Nangong Yuliu had left, the crowd remained gathered. The Eastern Mystery Hall's presiding elder and the others were still concerned about Chu Feng's physical condition.
But among them, there was one more figure from the Eastern Dragon Hall.
That was Tu Yuanyuan.
"Senior Brother Chu Feng, did you truly master the Prison King's power?"
Tu Yuanyuan asked curiously.
"That's right. The Prison King's power still resides within my body. If anyone dares provoke me — elder or disciple alike — I'll make them die without ever knowing what hit them."
After finishing his words, Chu Feng made a point of scanning the crowd.
That frigid gaze sent chills down not only the disciples' spines but the elders' as well.
"Chu Feng, what do you mean by that?"
"Could it be that when you just eliminated those disciples, you didn't leave the Prison King's power inside their bodies, but rather… that power is within you, and you can manipulate it at will?"
An elder from the Eastern Dragon Hall asked Chu Feng.
He wasn't probing — genuine terror was etched on his face. He was truly afraid.
Just now, those true-transmission disciples had perished, and even the Wulong elders had been powerless to stop it. The sheer might of that power was self-evident.
If Chu Feng truly wielded such power, then everyone present — aside from those elders who guarded the Wulong Underground Prison — would likely be at his mercy.
If that were the case, the implications would be staggering.
"Elder, please don't say things like that. Those people's deaths had nothing to do with me."
"Of course, if anyone else happens to die inexplicably in the future, that would also have nothing to do with me."
"If someone offends me and then happens to die without explanation…"
"Well, all I can say is — what a coincidence."
Chu Feng said with a smile.
He would never admit to killing anyone.
But the more he carried on like this, the more fearsome he became.
While plenty of people still refused to believe it — refused to accept that Chu Feng possessed such capability — there was no denying that a great many elders and disciples had already developed a deep wariness of him.
Even if they wanted to make things difficult for Chu Feng in the future, they would have to think long and hard about it.
"Chu Feng, did you truly master the Prison King's power?"
Right then, Yu Sha's voice sounded beside Chu Feng's ear, laced with disbelief.
"Silly girl, how could I possibly have mastered the Prison King's power?"
