In that moment, Chu Feng felt absolutely wretched — his thoughts in disarray, his heart gripped with panic, as though a massive boulder were pressing down on his chest. The pain was excruciating, as though he were about to lose his mind.
But just as Chu Feng was struggling through that agony, he sensed something — the Martial Dao.
Yet the Martial Dao faded just as quickly as the stench dissipated and his mind began to recover.
Chu Feng hurriedly adjusted his consciousness, forcing himself back to reason, and managed to grasp at least a sliver of comprehension before the Martial Dao vanished entirely.
Had he not gained some insight into the Martial Dao from it, Chu Feng would have been certain that the fragrance was nothing but a toxic miasma.
But precisely because he had reaped something of value, Chu Feng concluded that this egg… was a supreme cultivation treasure.
"If there were no life inside this egg, that would be one thing. But if there is life within it, I doubt it would be anything ordinary."
"Egg, if you were awake, would you advise me to take this egg or leave it here and stay far away from it?"

The sealing formation was invisible to the eye, yet it returned the brilliantly glowing egg to its ordinary appearance. At a glance, it now looked like nothing more than a slightly oversized ostrich egg with a faint golden hue — nothing remarkable about it whatsoever.
But Chu Feng knew full well that inside this egg very likely lurked a truly extraordinary being.
"Little guy, I don't know what you are, but I hope you're the well-behaved sort. Otherwise, don't blame me for being rough."
Chu Feng looked at the egg and chuckled, then stored it inside his Universe Bag.
Even knowing full well that if there was a living creature within this egg, it would be no ordinary existence — Chu Feng was fully prepared to tame it.
So what if it proved difficult to deal with?

After storing the egg away, Chu Feng launched himself into the air and flew out through the gate of light.
