Even though Chu Feng was also inside the main city, he had no idea that Chu Hongyi and the others had returned and even received Chu Ping's forgiveness.

After all, Chu Feng was currently focused on merging with the formation.

"It really wasn't easy."

After his success, Chu Feng rose with a smile. Unbeknownst to him, his forehead was already drenched in sweat. In fact, his entire body had long been soaked through with perspiration — and it was all cold sweat, the kind born from fear.

Although he had succeeded in the end, Chu Feng knew just how close he had come to failure.

Merging with the formation had been extremely difficult. Even though it was one his grandfather had laid and his father had refined, the formation had shown Chu Feng no mercy. On several occasions, he had nearly suffered a backlash.

If the backlash had truly struck, it would not have been a matter of simple pain — Chu Feng would have been sucked into the formation, trapped in an endless loop of dreams.

Fortunately, he had succeeded in the end, which was why Chu Feng was so elated.

Though this formation was the weakest of the guardian arrays in this place, its power was still formidable.

In Chu Feng's estimation, unless one had reached the Fifth Grade of Martial Immortal, breaking through this guardian formation would be utterly impossible.

And Chu Feng refused to believe that anyone among the Green Feather Monster Clan had reached the Fifth Grade of Martial Immortal. Even with exceptional talent, they were all martial cultivators under three hundred years of age.

At that age, compared to those nearing ten thousand or even over ten thousand years old, they were practically children.

So Chu Feng concluded that this guardian formation would be more than enough to deal with the Green Feather Monster Clan.

However, Chu Feng did not linger in his joy. He immediately set off to find the Queen, wanting to share his current happiness with her.

When he found the Queen, he discovered that she was sitting cross-legged, with her hands forming seals and her breathing rising and falling in a steady rhythm. She looked to be cultivating — and very seriously at that.

Chu Feng rarely saw the Queen this focused.

What surprised him even more was that in front of the Queen sat a formation — a peculiar one. First, it was very small. Second, it was neither a guardian formation nor an offensive one, nor was it a healing formation.

It resembled more of a display case, and what it showcased was a single stone.

A stone, positioned at the center of the formation, hovering ever so slightly.

The stone was about the size of a goose egg, entirely pitch-black, with a surface as smooth as jade.

Yet whether examined by the naked eye or detected through spiritual perception, the stone showed nothing remarkable whatsoever — utterly ordinary.

The formation was ordinary, and the stone within it was ordinary. Chu Feng could not fathom why his grandfather and his father had placed them in such an important location.

Most importantly, the Queen was cultivating with extraordinary concentration. Although he could not sense anything, no matter how Chu Feng looked at it, the Queen's cultivation appeared to be connected to that formation and that stone in some way.

"My Queen, what are you doing?" Growing curious, Chu Feng crouched beside the Queen and asked with a grin.

The Queen was so absorbed that she did not even notice Chu Feng approaching. Only when his voice rang out did she suddenly open her eyes.

"Chu Feng, you succeeded?" The Queen asked with concern as she rose to her feet.

"Done and done," Chu Feng said.

"Well, not bad at all." Seeing that Chu Feng had succeeded, a joyful smile appeared on her delicate face. She then asked, "Can that guardian formation hold off the Green Feather Monster Clan?"

"I don't see any problem," Chu Feng replied.

"If that's the case, then the Green Feather Monster Clan won't be able to touch you. Good, very good." At his words, the joy on the Queen's face grew even more pronounced.

She had been deeply worried about Chu Feng. After all, they both knew the Green Feather Monster Clan would be at their doorstep before long, and the strength of that clan was something Chu Feng likely could not handle on his own.

But with the guardian formation, they would have nothing to fear.

"My Eggie, what were you doing just now? It looked like you were cultivating?" Chu Feng asked.

"That's right, Chu Feng — I was indeed cultivating, because I found a treasure." The Queen pointed at the stone inside the formation. "Chu Feng, do you know what this is?"

"I was just about to ask you the same thing. What is it?" Chu Feng asked.

"Let me tell you — this thing has one enormous background."

"This is the Asura Divine Stone. Even within my Asura Spirit World, it is a sacred artifact for cultivation, exceedingly rare."

"Somehow, it has ended up here."
