Within the Chu Heavenly Clan's encampment, there were many palaces, yet very few people actually resided there.
At least, under Chu Feng's current perception, only a little over a hundred people could be detected within the camp.
It was possible that some had gone out to cultivate, but even if everyone was present, the numbers wouldn't be particularly large in Chu Feng's estimation.
After all, the Ancestral Martial Cultivation Realm only allowed a new batch of people in once every three years, and from the entire Upper Realm, only a handful of individuals could come here each cycle.
With people arriving and people leaving, the small population here was hardly surprising — if anything, a large crowd would have been the oddity.
Now, through the power of his perception, the cultivation levels of these people were all laid bare before Chu Feng.
The vast majority of them were at the True Immortal realm, though many were at the peak of True Immortal.
However, they were also older than Chu Feng and his group — most were over two hundred years old, meaning they had over a century more of cultivation than Chu Feng and the others.
So the True Immortal realm wasn't particularly impressive, given that clan members qualified to enter this place should all possess a certain degree of talent and be regarded as prodigies.
Fortunately, not everyone here was at the True Immortal realm.
Thirty-two of them were at the Heavenly Immortal realm.
Most were first-rate Heavenly Immortals, though, and the strongest among them was only a third-rate Heavenly Immortal.
With that level of strength, it was no wonder they had accomplished nothing of note within the Ancestral Martial Cultivation Realm.
"Who goes there?"
Suddenly, a voice rang out from ahead, followed by several figures shooting into the sky, forming a tight circle around Chu Feng and his companions.
The Chu Heavenly Clan members had finally detected them, though their sluggish reaction time only deepened Chu Feng's disappointment.
When they first appeared, the clansmen wore guarded expressions. But it wasn't long before someone recognized Chu Shuangshuang, and their faces immediately lit up with delight.
"Little Sister Shuangshuang, it's you?"
The man who approached first was actually close in age to Chu Shuangshuang, but his appearance was quite aged — he looked like a middle-aged man. Standing together, the two of them seemed rather mismatched.
Nevertheless, the warmth in their gazes toward each other made it clear they were old acquaintances.
"Brother Chu Ping, it's been a long time. I hope you've been well," Chu Shuangshuang said with a smile.
"Shuangshuang, it really is you! After all these years, you've finally decided to enter the Ancestral Martial Cultivation Realm to cultivate."
"I never would have guessed that you could reach the ninth-rate True Immortal realm even outside the cultivation realm. Little Sister Shuangshuang is truly remarkable." Chu Ping looked at Chu Shuangshuang, his face beaming with happiness.
"Brother Chu Ping is the impressive one. I've heard you've already reached the first-rate Heavenly Immortal realm," Chu Shuangshuang said with a laugh.
She said this because Chu Ping had concealed his cultivation, and with her level of strength, she wouldn't be able to sense his true power.
But she could say with complete certainty that he was a first-rate Heavenly Immortal — she had heard it from clan members who had returned to the Chu Heavenly Clan from the Ancestral Martial Cultivation Realm.
"Haha, I've been here quite a while. If I couldn't even reach the first-rate Heavenly Immortal realm, that would have been a waste of the cultivation key the clan gave me."
"Little Sister Shuangshuang, with your talent, I guarantee that once you enter the Ancestral Martial Cultivation Realm this time, you'll definitely be able to break through to the Heavenly Immortal realm. And it wouldn't be impossible for you to surpass me, either," Chu Ping said.
At Chu Ping's praise, Chu Shuangshuang merely offered a modest smile before turning to introduce Chu Ping and some of the other clansmen present to Chu Feng and the others.
Through Chu Shuangshuang's introduction, Chu Feng and his group learned that Chu Ping and his companions had been here for quite some time.
After introducing Chu Ping, Chu Shuangshuang was about to introduce Chu Feng and his group in return.
But before she could get the words out, Chu Ping waved his hand with an easy smile. "No need for introductions, Little Sister Shuangshuang. I already know these young brothers."
He then looked at each of them in turn. "This is Little Brother Chu Qing, currently the strongest of the younger generation in our Chu Heavenly Clan."
"And this is Little Brother Chu Haoyan."
"And this one should be Little Brother Chu Huanyu — all exceptional talents our Chu Heavenly Clan has rarely seen."
"You young brothers have achieved such cultivation at so tender an age. It really is every bit as the rumors say."
