Lightning coiled around Chu Feng's body as he followed the undercurrents within the lake, plunging deeper at an astonishing speed.
"Chu Feng, what's going on with that lightning on you?"
The Queen was thoroughly puzzled. She had assumed that falling into this place meant certain death.
Even she could sense just how fearsome this lake water was.
Within the lake, scorching heat surged skyward, as though it could incinerate everything it touched.
Because of that, the Queen had never expected that after Chu Feng plunged into the water, he would emerge completely unharmed.
And it was all thanks to the lightning radiating from his body.
This lightning not only shielded Chu Feng himself but also kept Chu Youyuan safe.
More importantly, the lightning did not appear to be under Chu Feng's control — it had surged out on its own.
It could be said that this was an instinctive reaction of his Heavenly Lightning Bloodline.
"I'm not sure what's going on either. Lord Youyuan probably knows."
As Chu Feng spoke, he turned his gaze toward Chu Youyuan.
Chu Youyuan had already fallen unconscious. The sneak attack delivered by Grandfather Chu Zhiyuan had severely wounded him. Even though Chu Feng had already treated his injuries, the results were far from satisfactory.
That was hardly surprising. For someone of Chu Youyuan's caliber to be injured so gravely that he fell unconscious, the damage was actually to his soul. Unfortunately, this was a wound that even Chu Feng was powerless to heal.
"It seems this Chu Youyuan already knew that jumping into this place wouldn't harm him. He really does know this September Divine Domain inside and out. He may not hold the title of Supreme Elder, yet his strength surpasses that of an ordinary Supreme Elder. This old man is truly no ordinary figure."
The Queen's assessment of Chu Youyuan was quite high — after all, it was thanks to him that Chu Feng and she had escaped their predicament.
"Oh right, Chu Feng — how bad is that old man's injury? He's not going to die, is he?" the Queen asked.
"Lord Youyuan's injury is beyond my ability to cure. His condition isn't great, but it won't threaten his life. The only question is when he'll wake up," Chu Feng replied.
"As long as he won't die. Chu Feng, where do you think this undercurrent will lead? Could there be another exit?" the Queen said.
"I'm actually hoping there is another exit. If so, we might be able to make them pay for what they did," Chu Feng said.
In truth, Chu Feng felt quite helpless at the moment. Although he had narrowly escaped death, the power of the lake water remained formidable. Trapped within it, he could only follow the undercurrent — drifting wherever it carried him, with no idea where he would end up.
Moreover, even though the undercurrent was clearly moving at tremendous speed, he had been drifting like this the entire time and still couldn't see the bottom. That alone showed just how vast this lake truly was.
From the outside, it may have looked like nothing more than a lake, but within, it would be more accurate to call it an entire world.
It was simply that enormous.
At this speed, Chu Feng drifted for a full day.
After that day had passed, he finally arrived at the very bottom of the lake. Once he reached the bottom, the undercurrent vanished. He regained his freedom of movement and could move about as he pleased.
"We drifted for so long, and we've finally touched down. Just how deep is this lake?"
Even the Queen was so surprised that she parted her lips in amazement, marveling at the depth.
Chu Feng, meanwhile, turned his gaze upward.
Though they were still submerged within the lake, the waters above were filled with undercurrents.
Whoosh—
