That day, Chu Feng finally parted ways with most of his friends. Only Zhao Hong and Wang Qiang followed him.
Chu Feng was not leaving the Hundred Refinements Ordinary Realm. However, before he departed, there was one place he absolutely had to visit.
It was the Zhou Heavenly Clan—one of the most powerful forces that had once existed within the Hundred Refinements Ordinary Realm.
But now, the Zhou Heavenly Clan's palaces had been destroyed, their mountains leveled, their rivers drained dry. It had all been reduced to ruins.
Across that vast expanse of land, glory was no more. All that remained was nothing but wreckage strewn across the ground.
Yet high up in the void above, nine massive characters blazed with brilliant light.
—Those who provoke Chu Feng shall meet this fate.
The nine characters shone resplendently, each one hanging in the sky like a sun. They could be seen from a hundred miles in every direction.
It was as though it were a divine decree, announcing the annihilation of the Zhou Heavenly Clan and declaring what fate awaited those who dared to offend Chu Feng.
"Whoa... wow, that's seriously badass! Next time someone messes with you guys, I—I—I'll do the same thing!" Wang Qiang looked up at the nine characters in the void and said with a gleeful grin.
For the people of the Zhou Heavenly Clan, those nine characters were an absolute nightmare.
But for Wang Qiang, they were more like a pleasant surprise. At the very least, he greatly admired the methods of whoever had left them behind.
Then Wang Qiang turned to Chu Feng and said, "Hey, bro—brother, you seriously don't know who's been helping you?"
Chu Feng shook his head. In truth, upon seeing those characters, his mind had already begun to speculate. He wanted to figure out who had been secretly aiding him—that was the very reason he had come here.
"Chu Feng, if you want to find a clue, I think you should try using your Heavenly Eyes," the Queen said.
"Egg, you think there might be a clue hidden in those characters?" Chu Feng asked.
"If there's no clue in those characters, then there really won't be any clue at all. That would just mean whoever did this doesn't want you to know who they are," the Queen replied.
"Mm." Chu Feng nodded noncommittally, then shifted his gaze. Instantly, his eyes transformed.
His gaze became incredibly sharp, as though it could pierce through everything, see through all things.
Under the Heavenly Eyes, everything looked different. Everything became clear.
"That is...?"
Suddenly, Chu Feng's eyes narrowed. He shot up into the air, soaring high until he arrived between the two enormous characters—Chu and Feng.
Actually, to the naked eye, those two characters appeared perfectly normal. But when observed through the Heavenly Eyes, Chu Feng discovered that within each of the massive characters "Chu" and "Feng," a bracelet was hidden.
He recognized those bracelets. They were the ones Su Rou and Su Mei wore.
Bam—
Bam—
Chu Feng threw two punches simultaneously, shattering both giant characters into dust. Yet the two bracelets remained completely unscathed.
Chu Feng caught one bracelet in each palm, and even his heart trembled.
He knew those bracelets had been hidden inside the characters for quite some time, yet he could still sense the auras of Su Rou and Su Mei. He could even catch traces of their respective scents from each bracelet.
He was now absolutely certain—these were Su Rou and Su Mei's bracelets.
"Xiao Rou, Xiao Mei, did you do this?"
"No... it's Yue Xian. She—she came to the Hundred Refinements Ordinary Realm too?"
Chu Feng was overcome with excitement. After all, coming to the Hundred Refinements Ordinary Realm, beyond destroying the Soul Infant Sect and proving himself, there had been two other things of great importance.
One was to find Su Rou and Su Mei and wrest them back from Yue Xian's grasp.
The other was to find Ya Fei, Murong Wan, and Yan Ruyu—the three who had mysteriously disappeared.
Yet for all the time he had spent in the Hundred Refinements Ordinary Realm, he had been making inquiries the entire time without ever finding a trace of them. Chu Feng had assumed they had never come to this realm at all. But now—he had actually found Su Rou and Su Mei's bracelets here, which meant that the two of them had at least visited this place.
"Chu Feng, look—there are markings on the bracelets," the Queen suddenly said.
Because Chu Feng had been consumed by the torrent of emotions that came with discovering Su Rou and Su Mei's presence, he hadn't examined the bracelets closely. After the Queen spoke up, he finally noticed that each bracelet bore a distinct marking.
When the two markings were combined into one, they formed a single symbol—a symbol that only a Spirit World Master could perceive.
Chu Feng quickly brought the two bracelets together. He knew full well that these markings had not been there before.
Which meant someone had deliberately left them behind.
