"Looking at exotic flowers and rare plants all the time, occasionally seeing the most ordinary plants and flowers is actually quite refreshing in its own way," Egg Egg said. As she spoke, however, she waved her hand and scattered the butterflies that had been fluttering around her.
"Why drive them away? They were drawn here," Chu Feng asked.
"They're annoying. If I weren't in a good mood, I'd have just killed them," Egg Egg replied.
Hearing those words, Chu Feng's brows furrowed slightly, because he knew Egg Egg was not joking — she was perfectly capable of doing exactly that.
In that moment, Chu Feng suddenly remembered that his Queen was no kind-hearted little fairy, but a ruthless little demoness.
"Come, this Queen wants to see for herself how a perfectly good tomb could just vanish into thin air." With those words, Her Majesty took to the air and flew toward the depths of the forbidden ground.
The direction she headed was precisely where the tomb had originally been.
As for how Her Majesty knew where to go — that was simple. She shared her senses of sight and hearing with Chu Feng, and Chu Feng had examined the map earlier, so she had naturally seen it as well.
Although the area was vast, Her Majesty moved quickly, and since they had a clear destination, they soon arrived at the spot where the tomb had disappeared.
The place looked utterly ordinary — just a clearing in the forest. If the map had not explicitly marked the tomb's location here, even Chu Feng would never have believed this could be the burial site of a supreme powerhouse.
"Chu Feng, do you see anything unusual?" Egg Egg asked him, because once they had arrived, Chu Feng had been using his Heavenly Eyes to carefully survey the area, trying to find some sort of flaw or clue.
By now, he had been observing for a full half-hour.
"No. I can't see anything," Chu Feng said.
"Then what do we do?" Egg Egg asked.
"I'll have to use a formation to probe it," Chu Feng replied, and immediately began setting up a formation.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the forest, a large yellow cat lay lazily sprawled across a tree branch.
The cat appeared completely ordinary, no different from any other small animal in the woods, yet it had been staring at Chu Feng and Egg Egg the entire time.
When Chu Feng began laying down the formation and the majestic insect-pattern-level celestial barrier power radiated outward, a glint of light flashed in the cat's eyes, and it watched even more intently.
However, Chu Feng paid no attention to the unusual cat — he remained focused on setting up his formation.
But when the formation was complete and lit up with a brilliant glow, a look of despair surfaced in Chu Feng's eyes.
It was useless. His Heavenly Eyes could not determine where the tomb had gone.
Even this formation was unable to trace any trace of the tomb's disappearance.
It was as though the tomb had never existed at all. Chu Feng could not detect the slightest anomaly.
"Still no luck?" Egg Egg asked.
"No. I want to try again." Chu Feng refused to give up. He racked his brain and devised an approach using a different formation.
Combined with this formation, perhaps his Heavenly Eyes could uncover some clues.
"Meow~~~ It's no use." Just as Chu Feng was about to make his move, a strange voice — sounding like a cat's cry, yet unmistakably human language — suddenly came from behind him.
Chu Feng quickly turned to look and found, sure enough, a yellow cat lying on the branch of a large tree.
The cat was not particularly big, but it was fat and very old. Its yellow fur had faded to the point that it was more white than yellow.
In short, the cat was not at all endearing — it was rather ugly, as far as cats went.
Yet the cat possessed a keen spirit, and it was now gazing directly at Chu Feng and Egg Egg.
"Was that you just now?" Before Chu Feng could even open his mouth, Her Majesty asked curiously.
