"I just broke through myself," the Refining Armament Immortal said to Chu Feng with a smile. "Let me help you treat their injuries."
"Alright." Chu Feng nodded. The father-son duo of Zhang Tianyi and Zhang Ming were indeed badly hurt, so he didn't hesitate. Right there, he joined hands with the Refining Armament Immortal and began healing them.
"Senior brother, senior, I've caused you both to suffer again," Chu Feng said with deep remorse after they finished treating Zhang Tianyi and Zhang Ming.
"Ah, what kind of talk is that? It's actually because of us that you ended up killing that Xianyu Yin… It seems we've brought you a great deal of trouble," Zhang Ming said, feeling even more ashamed.
"Junior brother Chu Feng, it's my incompetence. Aside from being a burden to you, I can't do anything at all." Zhang Tianyi felt the same way.
Both father and son understood just how powerful the Ancient Era Elves were. The most terrifying force on the Martial Sacred Land was the Ancient Era Elves.
In their eyes, Chu Feng had slain Xianyu Yin, which absolutely meant he had stirred up a massive problem — and ultimately, it was all because of them.
"That may not necessarily be a misfortune," the Refining Armament Immortal said with a faint smile. He had spoken through voice transmission, so only the three of them could hear.
"Oh?" At those words, the expressions of all three shifted.
Zhang Tianyi and Zhang Ming didn't quite understand, but Chu Feng realized something.
"Come with me," the Refining Armament Immortal said, preparing to take Chu Feng and the others away.
"Monstrous Immortal!"
"Monstrous Immortal!"
"Monstrous Immortal!"
…………
…………
Just then, thunderous shouts suddenly rose from below, piercing straight through the clouds and echoing across the heavens.
It turned out that while Chu Feng had been treating Zhang Tianyi's injuries, the onlookers had caught up. Now they all stood with their fists raised high, cheering — celebrating Chu Feng.
Celebrating his victory over Xianyu Yin and his claiming of the title of the Martial Sacred Land's strongest young generation.
Although they had witnessed Chu Feng slay Xianyu Yin with their own eyes, no one blamed him. At least the vast majority supported him.
After all, everyone had seen how things unfolded. Xianyu Yin had been the one in the wrong first, treating Chu Feng's brother that way. For the sake of brotherhood, killing him was hardly unjustified.
In truth, Chu Feng's decisive killing of Xianyu Yin had, if anything, earned him the genuine respect of many. Only someone who valued loyalty and bonds so deeply was truly worthy of their reverence.
"Monstrous Immortal?" Chu Feng was momentarily stunned, a bit confused.
The Refining Armament Immortal was indeed here — but why were they shouting "Monstrous Immortal"?
"You didn't know?" The Refining Armament Immortal chuckled.
"Senior, what is going on?" Chu Feng asked.
"You are now a Dragon-level Spirit World Master. It is only fitting that you have an Immortal title."
"You hadn't chosen one yourself, so others chose one for you. In a short time, many titles spread far and wide about you."
"By now, only the title 'Monstrous Immortal' has been widely accepted. So from here on, you are not merely Chu Feng — you are also the Monstrous Immortal," the Refining Armament Immortal said with a smile.
"Monstrous Immortal… that's my title?" Chu Feng didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Without even realizing it, others had given him a title — and it was the Monstrous Immortal, no less.
"Monstrous" referred to abnormal phenomena, ill omens, demons and spirits, and was a metaphor for evil people or acts.
"Immortal" referred to exalted beings, the punishers of evil and protectors of good, grandmasters of a generation, objects of devotion and worship.
The two concepts were entirely different — utterly incompatible, and should never have been placed together.
Yet somehow, "Monstrous Immortal" felt incredibly fitting when used to describe Chu Feng.
"Very well. From this day forward, on the Martial Sacred Land, I shall be the Monstrous Immortal." Suddenly, Chu Feng smiled as well, accepting the title.
Afterward, the Refining Armament Immortal and Chu Feng vanished into the void and continued on their way. Once they were certain no one else was around, the Refining Armament Immortal spoke again: "Chu Feng, this whole affair was orchestrated by the Dark Hall."
"As I expected — the Dark Hall." Chu Feng sighed. He had long suspected as much.
"The Dark Hall?" Zhang Ming and Zhang Tianyi looked bewildered.
They knew of the Dark Hall, of course, but only in the context of its appearance at the Ximen Imperial Clan. They knew nothing else about the organization.
In fact, even now, most people on the Martial Sacred Land only knew about the Dark Hall up to what had happened at the Ximen Imperial Clan. They had yet to grasp the true threat the Dark Hall posed.
"Senior, senior brother, the Dark Hall is extremely dangerous." Chu Feng gave Zhang Tianyi and Zhang Ming a rough account of the Dark Hall's affairs.
"The Dark Hall possesses such immense power?" After hearing the details, both father and son were shocked.
"It truly does. They apparently feared that the Ancient Era Elves would intervene in matters here, so they preemptively attacked multiple Elf strongholds. Under those circumstances, the Elf King had no choice but to remain at the Ancient Era Elves' base and dispatch numerous experts to wage war against the Dark Hall."
"Even the Dark Hall's Master has been appearing frequently," the Refining Armament Immortal added.
