"For real? Quick, let me see it!"
"Be careful with it. This little thing is no ordinary creature. It took me a tremendous amount of effort to catch it, and it's very cunning,"
"Don't worry, I know. Hurry, give it to me, give it to me!" Xian Miaomiao's face was brimming with impatience.
Left with no choice, Chu Feng handed the small red worm to Xian Miaomiao. But he noticed something — the instant he passed it over, the little red worm had been looking at him. Not only was it looking at him, but there was even a smug little smile curling at the corner of its mouth, as if to say, "Kid, trying to outsmart me? You're way too green."
"Chu Feng, did it decide to recognize you as its daddy?" Xian Miaomiao asked curiously after accepting the worm.
"Recognize my ass. This little thing wasn't even newborn — it toyed with me for ages," Chu Feng grumbled resentfully.
"Haha, that's so amusing!" Hearing Chu Feng's words made Xian Miaomiao even more excited. She then turned to the red worm and asked, "Are you a boy or a girl?"
"Why, pretty lady — I'm a girl, of course," the red worm said in a rather coy tone, its voice surprisingly gentle.
"Are you an Imperial Spirit Bug?" Xian Miaomiao continued.
"Mm-hmm." The red worm nodded obediently.
"Just keep pretending, then. Let's see how long you can keep it up." Seeing how well-behaved the little worm was acting in Xian Miaomiao's hands, Chu Feng couldn't help but sneer. He knew all too well just how shameless this little creature was.
Good thing it was female. If it had been male, Chu Feng would never have handed it over to Xian Miaomiao. This wretched little thing — if it were a boy, who knew what kind of indecent antics it might pull.
"Then do you have a name of your own?" Xian Miaomiao asked.
"I do." The red worm nodded.
"What's your name?" Xian Miaomiao asked.
"My name is Lashi!" the red worm announced proudly.
*Pfft!* Chu Feng, who had been sipping water at that moment, spat it straight back out, staring at the red worm in disbelief. He thought to himself — that name was absolutely, incredibly ridiculous.
"Lashi? Who gave it that name? Hahahaha — oh no, I can't — it's killing me!" At that moment, the Queen was already in the Spirit World space, clutching her belly and kicking her little legs, laughing so hard she looked like she might actually die of it.
"Lashi?" Meanwhile, Xian Miaomiao was also furrowing her brows, her little face scrunching up awkwardly.
"That's right — Lashi! 'La' as in pulling, 'shi' as in — well, you know. Pretty awesome name, isn't it? My daddy said my name is absolutely the most awesome name in the entire world!" The red worm beamed with pride, not the slightest hint that it thought anything was wrong with the name. If anything, it looked positively dignified.
"No way — that name is terrible. I'm going to change it for you," Xian Miaomiao declared.
"Change it? Do you really think you can come up with a name that's more awesome than Lashi?" the red worm shot back.
"Chu Feng, you're a Spirit World Master — help me think of a name," Xian Miaomiao said, turning to Chu Feng.
"Sure — how about '
"Hmm, 'Little Red.' That's a nice name — simple, easy to remember, and fitting. It's settled — you're Little Red now," Xian Miaomiao said with satisfaction.
"What?! Little Red?! You came up with *that*? No way — I'm not calling myself Little Red. My name is Lashi!" The red worm immediately protested furiously against the name Chu Feng had chosen.
"No, you can't be called Lashi. You don't realize how inappropriate that name is. Just go with Little Red. Be good," Xian Miaomiao said.
"No! I'm Lashi! I'm Lashi! Lashi, Lashi, Lashi!" The red worm shrieked hysterically.
"How dare you talk back to me! See if I don't teach you a lesson!" Xian Miaomiao pursed her lips, a mischievous glint flashing in her eyes. Then she grabbed Little Red with both hands — one gripping the head, the other the tail — and began to pull with all her might.
*Whoosh —* in an instant, Little Red, which had been no longer than an index finger, had been stretched to over a meter long.
"Ah! No — oh heavens, please stop! You're about to turn me into noodles! Although I don't even know what noodles are…"
"Fine, fine, I give up! I'm not called Lashi anymore — I'm Little Red! Little Red!" The red worm truly had no spine whatsoever. Under Xian Miaomiao's torment, it surrendered almost immediately.
