"Auction Immortal, no need to be so alarmed. It's your turn to break the formation now."
Facing Auction Immortal's panicked expression, Chu Feng maintained his smile without the slightest change. As he spoke, he sat cross-legged in midair, pressed his palms together, and closed his eyes.
"What is Chu Feng doing? Why isn't he setting up a formation?"
Originally, many people had assumed that Chu Feng was about to lay down a formation, and their anticipation had been through the roof.
But once Chu Feng settled into his seated position, he sat perfectly still.
And he sat like that for a full hour, as though he had fallen asleep. This left everyone utterly baffled, unable to understand what Chu Feng was actually doing.
Could he really be sleeping?!!!
"Done."
However, after exactly one hour, Chu Feng not only opened his eyes but rose to his feet as well, a faint smile still hanging on his face.
"Done? Done with what? There's nothing here at all!" People looked all around, and some even extended their spiritual senses to probe carefully, but they couldn't detect any formation whatsoever. What exactly had Chu Feng done?
He seemed to have done nothing at all — just sat in the air and taken a nap for an hour. But if he'd truly done nothing, why did he declare he was finished?
Could it be that Chu Feng was going to go easy? Was he going to give Auction Immortal a chance?
That didn't make any sense. The two of them were mortal enemies — surely Chu Feng would want nothing more than to kill Auction Immortal as quickly as possible. Why on earth would he show mercy?
"Chu Feng, are you wasting my time?" In fact, even Auction Immortal wore a look of utter confusion.
Although he had been thoroughly stunned when Chu Feng broke through his formation, he hadn't conceded defeat yet. After all, he still had the opportunity to break Chu Feng's formation.
But what was this situation supposed to be? Chu Feng hadn't even set up a formation — so what was he supposed to break?
That was why he accused Chu Feng of wasting his time.
"Wasting your time? No — it's time for you to break my formation." As Chu Feng spoke, his pressed-together palms suddenly flew open.
Hummmm —
In that instant, a dazzling golden radiance burst outward.
It was a golden sphere, no larger than a goose egg, yet it shimmered with brilliant light like a miniature golden sun illuminating all directions.
"Could that really be the formation Chu Feng set up? How can it be so tiny?"
Xian Miaomiao and the others stared blankly. Compared to the formation that Auction Immortal had laid down, the one Chu Feng had just created was absurdly minuscule.
"This is the formation Chu Feng set up? How laughable. I may not understand barrier formations, but even I can tell that this one wouldn't withstand a single blow." Xian Yu Yin let out a cold laugh.
Truth be told, when Chu Feng had broken through Auction Immortal's formation, he too had been shocked to his core. In that moment, even though he was still standing in midair, he had felt as though he had plummeted into a bottomless abyss with no hope of ever climbing back out.
But now, upon seeing the formation Chu Feng had created, he saw hope once more.
Yet when Auction Immortal laid eyes on that golden sphere, he was struck dumb — frozen solid, as though he had turned to stone. He was genuinely stupefied.
"Auction Immortal, why the blank stare? Could it be that you too can break my formation in the blink of an eye?" Chu Feng asked with a cheerful grin. This was pure mockery, because he knew full well that Auction Immortal stood absolutely no chance of breaking this formation.
"Auction Immortal, it's your turn." At this point, it was Xian Yu Yin who could no longer sit still. He actually took the initiative to prompt Auction Immortal, because the last thing he wanted was for Auction Immortal to lose.
In a contest of innate talent, he had already lost to Chu Feng. If Auction Immortal also lost to Chu Feng in the art of barrier formations, then everything they had arranged today would not only be rendered completely meaningless — it would serve only to highlight Chu Feng's strength once more.
"Hmph, so they really are in cahoots." Meanwhile, Xian Miaomiao, Princess Lingyue, and even some of the Royal Protectors shot Xian Yu Yin a look of undisguised contempt.
At this point, nearly everyone in the Elven Kingdom was rooting for Chu Feng to win — because they had all grown thoroughly sick of Auction Immortal.
