That evening, Xian Miaomiao personally paid Chu Feng a visit and gifted him one hundred Thousand-Leaf Peacock Tail Flowers.
Seeing a full one hundred Thousand-Leaf Peacock Tail Flowers, Chu Feng was immediately filled with gratitude. Back in the day, Immortal Luo Pan had come here to request flowers and had only managed to obtain a single one.
Moreover, it seemed that in his entire lifetime, he could only ever take that one flower with him. That was precisely why Immortal Luo Pan had not come back himself, and instead asked Chu Feng to come in his place — because even if he returned, he wouldn't be able to get any more.
From this, one could see that the Thousand-Leaf Peacock Tail Flower was an exceedingly precious treasure even within the Elven Kingdom, not something that could be casually given away.
And yet, Xian Miaomiao had directly given him one hundred. That was more than enough to demonstrate her generosity.
"Princess Miaomiao, I only need one. A hundred is really too many," Chu Feng said.
He knew that Xian Miaomiao was likely grateful to him for what had happened back then and wanted to repay him, but Chu Feng felt that this gift was simply too extravagant.
Especially now, with one hundred Thousand-Leaf Peacock Tail Flowers laid out before him, Chu Feng could sense from those flowers — as beautiful as a peacock's tail — that their value was truly extraordinary. Even if they were put up for auction, they would fetch an astronomically high price, and demand would far outstrip supply.
"I'm giving them to you and you don't even want them — are you stupid?" Xian Miaomiao rolled her eyes at Chu Feng for refusing, but soon broke into a lovely smile. "Just take them, just take them. Actually, I do have a favor to ask."
"What is it?" Chu Feng asked.
"Come with me to the Blood Devouring Killing Formation," Xian Miaomiao said.
"The Blood Devouring Killing Formation? One of the three great forbidden zones of the Martial Continent?" Chu Feng asked.
"Is there any other Blood Devouring Killing Formation?" Xian Miaomiao replied.
"You're sure you want me to come along?" Chu Feng asked.
"Of course I'm sure. This princess has thought long and hard about it," Xian Miaomiao nodded.
"All right," Chu Feng agreed readily.
"You're actually not going to ask me why I want you to come with me, or what the purpose of going there is? That's not some ordinary place — it's one of the most dangerous locations in all of the Martial Continent," Xian Miaomiao was taken aback by how readily Chu Feng had agreed.
Chu Feng smiled faintly. "Precisely because it's dangerous, you asking me to go means you trust me a great deal. Since you trust me, you consider me a friend — and naturally, I consider you a friend as well. For a friend, one should be willing to stick their neck out."
"Is that so? Well then, let me stick two blades in you first!" As she spoke, Xian Miaomiao curled her small fists as though gripping knives and playfully jabbed them into both of Chu Feng's sides.
"You little rascal, that was just a figure of speech — you actually went and did it for real." Chu Feng flicked her lightly on the forehead, because when those two little fists had suddenly landed on his sides, it had actually hurt a bit.
"Ha ha ha, scared now? This princess is very formidable!" Xian Miaomiao laughed triumphantly, and then began to tell Chu Feng about the purpose of their trip to the Blood Devouring Killing Formation.
Xian Miaomiao's physique was somewhat special. From the moment she was born, she had been remarkably powerful — far beyond what any ordinary Ancient Elf could compare to.
However, ordinary cultivation resources had no effect on her. She could only rely on absorbing the world's natural energy to advance her cultivation.
Learning of this, Chu Feng was quite astonished. Just thinking about it — Xian Miaomiao's terrifying level of cultivation had been achieved almost entirely through her own efforts — was truly mind-boggling.
But in truth, that wasn't entirely the case. There was, in fact, one type of cultivation resource that could help Xian Miaomiao improve her cultivation: the Ancient Immortal Essence.
