"Hey, you're not really that petty, are you?"
"Forget it. Since you saved Little Radish, you don't need to change your name," Chili said, pouting her small lips.
"I'm not angry. I just really don't like noise," Chu Feng said with a smile.
"Oh come on, you're a grown man — how can you be so narrow-minded? Fine, I'll admit I was wrong earlier. Is that enough?"
"Besides, if you really don't like noise, all I need is a barrier to seal off the sound and block the view. Everything outside won't concern us at all." Chili folded her arms and continued, fully convinced that Chu Feng was upset.
"Oh, Brother Chu Feng, getting Little Chili to apologize to someone is no easy feat. Just give her some face and come along with us. I also brought plenty of fine wine and delicious food — we can have ourselves a proper feast!" Big Radish chimed in, trying to persuade him.
"Yeah, benefactor, come rest with us over there," Little Radish added.
"Very well then." As the saying goes, it's hard to refuse such warm hospitality. Under these circumstances, Chu Feng couldn't very well turn them down again.
And so, Chu Feng followed the three Radishes to a chamber within the barrier to rest.
True to her word, Chili sealed the chamber's barrier, blocking out all sound and even covering the windows.
"Wow, Senior Sister Chili's barrier technique is truly amazing! I'm so jealous — I really want to become a Spirit World Master too!" Little Radish said enviously.
"If you want to learn barrier techniques, I have a way to forcibly inject Mental Power into you."
"But I'd advise you to focus on martial cultivation instead. Barrier techniques and martial cultivation — it's better to devote yourself to just one."
"Back when I was like you, jealous of the marvelous abilities of Spirit World Masters, I begged my mother to pour Mental Power into me so I could learn barrier techniques. If not for that, my cultivation wouldn't be stuck at just the Ninth-level Martial King."
"If I had focused on martial cultivation back then instead of grinding away at barrier techniques — I'm not bragging — but I'd at least be a Half-Emperor by now," Chili said, thumping her chest proudly.
"Chili's right. You can't split your focus. Better to concentrate on martial cultivation," Big Radish agreed.
"But isn't Chu Feng cultivating both barrier arts and martial arts? His cultivation is incredible, and he's a Snake-pattern Imperial Robe Spirit World Master on top of that," Little Radish said, pursing his thick lips.
"Can you compare yourself to Chu Feng? A genius like him appears once in ten thousand — no, once in hundreds of millions!" Chili shot back.
"Tch…" Little Radish smacked his lips, thoroughly deflated, and dropped the subject.
After that, Big Radish brought out the wine and food he had prepared, laying out a lavish banquet for Chu Feng. Out of gratitude, he was determined to drink with Chu Feng until they were both completely drunk.
Seeing Big Radish and Chu Feng drinking merrily, Little Radish joined in the fun. But Chu Feng was now immune to all poisons — how could even the strongest wine possibly get him drunk?
As a result, both Big Radish and Little Radish ended up dead drunk. The alcohol seeped into their Dantians, affecting even their origins. If Chu Feng hadn't secretly intervened to help them, their bodies would have suffered lasting damage.
Even so, the two of them fell into a deep, heavy sleep.
This left only Chili and Chu Feng alone together in the sealed chamber.
Chili was naturally talkative, and with Big Radish and Little Radish no longer around to converse with, she was practically bursting.
