Zhao Kai let out a furious roar. As he spoke, his palm flipped, and a King Weapon materialized in his hand.
Gripping the King Weapon, he swung it violently. A golden slash shot through the air, cleaving toward Egg Egg.
The slash was incredibly powerful—wherever it passed, even the void was sliced in two, sending ripples outward in every direction.
This was no ordinary slash. It was a martial art—a formidable Earth-restriction martial art.
"You overestimate yourself."
Yet Egg Egg merely let out a cold snort in response to Zhao Kai's attack. Her eyes flashed, and the massive dark energy erupted like rolling stormclouds, surging toward Zhao Kai with the overwhelming force of a thousand cavalry charges.
Boom—
The Earth-restriction martial art collided with the dark energy, producing a deafening explosion. But after that thunderous crash, Zhao Kai's golden slash had been completely swallowed by Egg Egg's raging dark flames, as though a stone had sunk into the sea.
What was truly terrifying, however, was that after devouring Zhao Kai's attack, the dark energy accelerated, growing even more violent and ferocious. Within the churning black flames, a pair of enormous, blood-red eyes appeared.
At that moment, the dark energy seemed like a living, savage creature of darkness, bearing down on Zhao Kai with unstoppable force.
The worst part was that, facing such a horrifying dark entity, Zhao Kai had no power to resist whatsoever.
Cold sweat poured down his body, his limbs trembled, and the fury he had felt moments ago had vanished entirely—replaced by pure, primal fear.
Fear. Deep, soul-crushing fear. Only when he truly faced this dark energy did he understand just how terrifying it really was.
So terrifying that he couldn't possibly withstand it, and so terrifying that he had even lost the will to flee. Like a wounded ant beneath the descending hoof of a massive beast, all he could do was await death.
Swish—
But just when Zhao Kai was certain he was going to die, an elderly figure descended from the sky and landed directly in front of him.
The old man flicked his wide sleeve, raised his palm, and blasts of golden light erupted forth, immediately sending massive energy ripples cascading outward.
It was martial power—Emperor-level martial power. This newcomer was a Half-Emperor powerhouse.
Boom—
With Emperor-level martial power unleashed, its might was overwhelming. Under a tremendous roar, amid the surging ripples where dark and golden energy intertwined, the elder managed to neutralize Egg Egg's dark energy.
However, he had only managed to block Egg Egg's attack—that was all he accomplished.
Swish, swish, swish, swish—
After that, several more figures descended from the sky like guardians, landing around Zhao Kai on all sides, as though terrified that someone else might strike at him. These were none other than the elders of the Alliance of Spirit World Masters.
"Young lady, this is merely a spar. I ask that you show restraint and refrain from taking any more lives." The elder who had neutralized Egg Egg's attack spoke first.
Although they held the prestigious title of elders in the Alliance of Spirit World Masters, they were well aware that someone like Chu Feng was undoubtedly an extraordinary genius within the Green Wood Mountain—and certainly someone the higher-ups valued greatly.
As elders with a special status, they could not casually act against Chu Feng. Naturally, that meant they could not casually act against his Spirit World Companion either.
Otherwise, it could very well ignite a conflict between two colossal powers—a disaster far beyond what a few lowly elders could shoulder.
So even though they possessed the strength to subdue Egg Egg, they could not rashly make a move against her. All they could do was prevent Egg Egg from harming Zhao Kai.
"Hmph." Egg Egg paid no heed to the elders' intervention. She simply let out a cold snort and turned to walk back toward Chu Feng.
"This is the Alliance of Spirit World Masters—not a place where you can run wild!!!"
