After
At this point, despite only a brief moment having passed, they had all realized that this Southern Forest disciple named Chu Feng was no ordinary person.
He was cut from an entirely different cloth. If they could all be considered geniuses, then Chu Feng was a once-in-an-era prodigy.
At the very least, the strength Chu Feng had displayed proved as much — they were no match for him whatsoever.
So, after a brief hesitation and what seemed like silent communication among themselves, they finally nodded in unison and said, "Fine. We agree."
"That's more like it." Seeing that they had agreed, Chu Feng finally withdrew his oppressive aura and that bone-chilling killing intent. Then he flicked his hand, and several pills shot through the air, each landing in the hands of an injured man. "Take care of your injuries. Otherwise, if your fellow Yuhua Sect members see you like this and ask who did this to you, it'll be hard for you to explain."
Humiliation — naked, outright humiliation. Talk about slapping someone in the face and then offering them a sweet treat. This was exactly that.
But the Yuhua Sect disciples didn't dare talk back. They could only endure it, obediently swallowing the pills Chu Feng had given them and accepting his treatment.
After their injuries became completely invisible, Chu Feng put away his barrier palace.
Once the barrier palace was dismissed, Chu Feng found that
He waited for a full two hours. The sun had long since set, the sky had gone dark, and throughout the vast expanse of the Yuhua Sect, every lamp had been lit — yet Sikong Zhaixing still hadn't come back.
It wasn't until another hour had passed that Sikong Zhaixing finally returned. The person accompanying him, however, was not
Moreover, Sikong Zhaixing's expression was none too pleasant. It was obvious he hadn't managed to find Elder Zhou and had been rebuffed.
"Chu Feng, Elder Zhou has matters to attend to, and the other Yuhua Sect elders don't dare make decisions regarding this matter. However, they've arranged accommodations for us. We'll stay the night, and once Elder Zhou has finished with his business, we'll ask him to come and sort things out with these young friends." Sikong Zhaixing forced a smile, and it was plain to see that his mood was terribly foul.
Elder Zhou was nowhere to be found, and neither were the other managing elders — let alone the Sect Master of the Yuhua Sect.
At this point, he couldn't help but admit that the Yuhua Sect was doing this on purpose — deliberately making things difficult for them. And it was the cruelest kind: giving them hope before casting them into the abyss.
Now he had begun to wonder — even if Chu Feng obtained the token, would the Yuhua Sect actually honor their ancestors' agreement and help them?
Even so, he still hoped they could enter the Southern Forest Tower and obtain the token.
Whether the Yuhua Sect helped them or not was their own business. Even if they refused, it would be the Yuhua Sect who broke their ancestors' pact, not the Qingmu Southern Forest.
Most importantly, if Chu Feng could obtain that token, it would at least fulfill
"Sect Master, while you were away, I explained the situation to the senior brothers and sisters of the Yuhua Sect. They now understand what happened, and they've agreed to let me enter the Southern Forest Tower." Chu Feng said with a smile.
"What? They agreed?"
Hearing Chu Feng's words, not only was Sikong Zhaixing's face filled with shock, but even the two elders of the Qingmu Southern Forest were utterly stunned — they even suspected their ears had deceived them.
