Led by the old ape,
Before him stood a tombstone, and the moment Chu Feng read the name carved upon it, his expression changed drastically. An indescribable wave of emotion surged through his heart.
Because the name etched into that tombstone was none other than Chu Feng. Using his Heaven's Eye to examine it more closely, he discovered that the tombstone was crafted from ordinary Mystic Stone, and the time when the characters had been carved was nearly identical to his own age.
Unfortunately, Chu Feng's Heaven's Eye could only discern the timing of the inscription on the Mystic Stone tombstone. When he turned his gaze toward the grave itself, he could see nothing at all.
"
"Heh…" The old ape let out a faint smile, one laden with complexity, before speaking. "By all rights, I should address you as Young Master."
"But unfortunately, in your current state, you truly aren't worthy of that title. Respect must be earned through strength."
"As for this grave — it once saved your life, and now it can save you once more." With those words, an invisible wave of energy radiated from the old ape's body and sank into the tomb.
The soil of the grave began to churn and roll outward, and before long, a coffin emerged. It too was forged from Mystic Stone, but it was enormous — more than ten times the size of an ordinary coffin.
Looking at that Mystic Stone coffin, the tangled emotions in Chu Feng's heart only deepened. He desperately wanted to know what lay inside it, and what connection it had to him.
Earlier, the old ape had said this grave once saved his life and could do so again. But what did that truly mean?
*Boom.*
A muffled thud rang out as the lid of the Mystic Stone coffin slid open. But instead of revealing what lay within, a blinding burst of radiance poured forth.
It was a formation — a profoundly mysterious one, so intricate that Chu Feng could scarcely comprehend it, and so powerful that it defied description. Still, he could faintly make out that it appeared to be a teleportation formation, one that far surpassed even the ancient teleportation arrays he had seen before.
"Go. This teleportation formation will carry you safely to the Land of Martial Sovereignty," the old ape said calmly.
"Senior, you want me to leave?" Chu Feng asked, stunned.
"Of course you must leave. Did you intend to stay here?" The old ape cast a brief glance at Chu Feng, his gaze conveying a clear message — you must go, and you must go now.
"Senior, do you know how I found this place? Do you know what my life has been like all these years? I went through untold hardships just to learn where you were. I suffered through countless trials to reach this place. I have no other goal — I only want to know who my parents are. I only want to know how they're doing."
"But… I haven't learned a single thing yet. I still don't know whose child I truly am. I still don't know who my family really is. I don't know why they abandoned me — and now you're telling me to leave?"
Chu Feng's voice grew heated, though a desperate longing flickered in his eyes. He yearned for the old ape to tell him something — anything. He was certain that this creature knew more than it let on.
"Alas~~~" True to his expectation, Chu Feng's words stirred something in the old ape. "Chu Feng, it isn't that I'm unwilling to tell you. It's your father who doesn't want me to. The truth is, he is right here. He simply… refuses to see you. Because you are far too weak — too weak to be worthy of being his son."
