Seeing Klein's surprised expression, Angelica wavered slightly. "Isn't it? Mr. Glasis said you managed to see the disease hidden in his lungs just by observing him..."
Her voice grew weaker and weaker until she trailed off.
Observe? Darkened brow? Klein suddenly understood and shook his head with a wry smile. "I think Mr. Glasis is mistaken."
He had intended to just brush it off, but suddenly remembered that no one had come to him for a divination yesterday afternoon, making the process of acting the "Seer" very difficult. So his mind raced, and he explained a little: "This is actually a kind of divination."
"Divination? But Mr. Glasis only said you observed his face. Does that count as divination?" Angelica asked back, surprised and confused.
Klein smiled calmly. "As a member of the Divination Club, you should know about palmistry, right?"
Palmistry wasn't unique to the Great Gourmet Empire... let alone in a world with extraordinary powers.
"I do, but you didn't seem to read his palm either? Did you secretly observe it?" Angelica asked curiously.
"I read his physiognomy," Klein fabricated. "Its principle is no different in essence from palmistry."
"Really?" Angelica's eyes were full of disbelief.
Klein, for the sake of his "Seer" career development, lightly laughed. He raised his hand and tapped his brow twice, pretending to be deep in thought.
Focusing his gaze, Angelica's aura appeared in his eyes. Her head was purple, hands and feet red, throat blue... Her health wasn't a problem, but the colors were slightly dull, which was a normal sign of fatigue.
Klein looked at her emotions and saw orange mixed with a little red and blue, a warmth mixed with a bit of excitement and thought. Then he saw a deep gray hidden in her emotions.
"And also, she lacks a bit of positive white..." Klein nodded thoughtfully.
"Mr. Moretti, are you reading my physiognomy?" Angelica asked, half curious and half worried.
Klein didn't answer immediately. He tapped his brow again, looking as though he was examining her closely.
Just as Angelica began to feel a little uneasy, he spoke gently: "Miss Angelica, some sorrows, some pains, don't seal them in your heart."
Angelica's eyes went wide. Her mouth opened, but no words came out.
She looked at Klein, who wore a half-high top hat and had a clear scholarly air, and heard his low, soothing, warm voice: "You need a mountain hike, a tennis match, or a sad play. Let your body get tired from exercise, let your tears flow without concealment, and then cry, scream, let those emotions burst out completely."
"It will also be very good for your physical health."
The words sank into her ears. Angelica froze like a statue, standing perfectly still.
She blinked hard, lowered her head in a fluster, and said in a muffled voice: "Thank you for your advice..."
"There seem to be quite a lot of members today?" Klein said, not pressing the matter, turning to look at the meeting room at the end of the corridor as if he hadn't just performed a divination.
"Sunday afternoon... at least 50 members..." Angelica's voice was still a little hoarse, her description just a few key words.
She paused, her speech gradually returning to normal: "Would you like black tea, or coffee?"
"Ceylon black tea." Klein nodded slightly, tipping his hat as a formality, and slowly walked towards the meeting room.
Until he disappeared past the door, Angelica slowly let out a breath.
....
The meeting room of the Divination Club was very large, almost twice the size of Klein's high school classroom.
Usually, there were only five or six members, making it feel very empty. Now, dozens of "diviners" sat in twos and threes, filling most of the space.
Sunlight streamed in from several bay windows. Members were either discussing quietly, crowding around Haines Vansante for advice, practicing their divination in earnest, or drinking coffee and reading newspapers alone.
This scene gave Klein a feeling of being back in his student days on Earth, just much livelier and noisier back then, without this hint of tranquility.
He looked around and didn't see his acquaintances, Glasis and Edward Steve, so he casually took a public divination textbook, found a corner, and leisurely flipped through it.
Shortly after, Angelica came in with a cup of black tea and placed it on the table in front of Klein.
She was about to leave quietly when she suddenly saw Mr. Moretti unfasten a uniquely shaped silver chain from his left cuff, with a pure citrine hanging from it.
What was he going to do? Angelica unconsciously slowed her pace, staring intently at Klein.
