Pre-ordering mystical items? Alger "The Hanged Man" was stunned for a second before reacting to what Miss Justice was saying.
His thinking immediately broadened as he felt there was room to exploit this situation:
"From a certain point of view, the beyonder characteristic entrusted by 'The World' has already been sold, with a definite destination for the item... I can completely simplify the process, making things easier and more beneficial for me. In other words, I don't need to sell it to 'The Artisan' anymore; I should choose the method of commissioning the crafting. This way, I won't have to worry about whether the characteristic can be sold. I can get the commission from 'The World' and also reap more profit from Miss Justice. The only upfront cost I need to pay is the processing fee for the commission. Of course, I must consider the risk of 'The Artisan' not keeping their promise..."
As all sorts of thoughts emerged, Alger "The Hanged Man" quickly weighed the pros and cons and made a decision.
"No problem. I'll handle this matter." He looked at Miss Justice, feeling that she radiated a golden light that was impossible to look directly at.
Even after joining the Church of Storms and drifting at sea for many years, he had never seen anyone like her elsewhere.
There were plenty of spendthrifts among the great merchants, and even more who were fabulously wealthy, but none of them truly didn't care about money.
Miss Justice's financial situation had improved to this extent? Klein "The Fool" was also startled.
For a moment, he wanted to urge her to quickly pay the two thousand pounds she owed his Blessed, but considering that he had long agreed to let Miss Justice postpone repayment until February or March, he could only remain silent and still, lest he damage the image of "The Fool."
At least the money for the "Faceless" beyonder characteristic would come soon, the speed only depending on Mr. "The Hanged Man's" method of contacting a certain "Artisan" and how fast the "Artisan" could craft the mystical item... Unfortunately, for now he could only rely on Mr. "The Hanged Man" to contact the "Artisan"; otherwise, he could sell the characteristic directly to Miss Justice without paying a commission... Thinking of this, Klein's mood became somewhat complicated.
After finalizing a major deal, Alger "The Hanged Man" silently breathed a sigh of relief, feeling that his financial situation was slowly improving.
He thought for a few seconds and asked:
"Ladies and gentlemen, does any of you have a method or item that can make everyone scattered across a ship fall asleep at the same time?"
The reason Alger hadn't yet gone to that primitive island to hunt the Blue Shadow Falcon was that he still hadn't figured out how to leave the "Blue Avenger" without arousing suspicion from the dozen or so sailors and crew members belonging to the church.
Make everyone on a ship fall asleep? Klein's first thought was the "Biological Toxin Bottle," but the effect of this item was completely uncontrollable, and the scene probably wouldn't be pretty.
Then, he remembered the "Nightmare" soul within "Creeping Hunger." Putting people to sleep and dragging them into dreams was the specialty of this beyonder profession.
"But the problem is that a 'Nightmare' simply cannot make so many people enter dreams at the same time. The limit of those it can influence is no more than ten people. To meet Mr. 'The Hanged Man's' requirements, one would need at least a Sequence 5 of the corresponding pathway, or perhaps even a demigod-level powerhouse..." Klein dismissed the thought and didn't have "The World" speak up.
Meanwhile, Audrey "Justice," Fors "The Magician," and Derrick "The Sun" either shook their heads in response or answered with "no."
Emlyn "The Moon" thought for a moment and said:
"I can ask around for you. Perhaps our vampire clan has mystical items with similar effects."
Always saying "our vampire clan"... I can use this angle more in the future to persuade him... Alger "The Hanged Man" noticed some things and smiled, nodding:
"Trouble you with that."
Seeing that the trading part was nearing its end, Klein quickly had "The World" mention the latest requirements:
"Everyone, keep an eye out for the residual spirituality of an ancient wraith and the eyes of a six-winged gargoyle."
The other supplementary materials weren't too difficult to purchase, so he felt there was no need to go through the Tarot Club for them.
"Okay." Derrick "The Sun" was the first to respond, then added apologetically, "Mr. 'The World,' the method you wanted to remove mental pollution from beyonder characteristics still needs some time. I should be able to advance to Sequence 7 soon."
With that, he looked to the side:
"Mr. 'The Hanged Man,' once I return to Silver City, I'll compile a list of common monsters in the surrounding area."
Every single thing he owed others and every promise he had made but not yet fulfilled, he kept firmly in his heart, feeling that he couldn't even sleep peacefully otherwise.
"No problem." The gloomy "The World" said indifferently.
Klein really wasn't in too much of a hurry. His "Faceless Code" hadn't even been fully summarized yet, and the digestion of the potion had only just begun, with several more months to go.
Therefore, his plan was not to head straight for the Galgas Islands, but to travel through the various colonial islands along the way in the guise of an "adventurer" or "traveler," changing his identity from time to time and experiencing life in order to refine his "Faceless Code."
In this process, he would inquire more thoroughly about mermaids. After learning that the Church of the Goddess raised such spiritual creatures and possessed the high-sequence potion formula of the "Seer" pathway, Klein was always worried that there might be traps set in the Galgas Islands for every "Faceless" seeking advancement.
In other words, Klein would have to spend two or three months or even more traveling and adventuring on the Sonia Sea. This interval was long enough for "The Sun" to obtain the potion formula, gather the corresponding materials, and advance to Sequence 7, the "Sun Priest."
As the trading part concluded, the members of the Tarot Club entered the free exchange period.
Audrey "Justice" did not disappoint "The Hanged Man's" expectations. She stood up first, lifted her skirt slightly, and bowed toward the head of the bronze long table:
"Honored Mr. 'Fool,' I would like to know the truth hidden behind the Backlund smog disaster. Was it purely caused by those heretics trying to awaken the 'Primordial Demoness' and bring about the descent of the 'True Creator'? Why did Prince Edessak choose to cooperate with them?
"According to the principle of equivalent exchange you established, what do I need to pay to obtain the corresponding information?"
If I knew, the matter would have been completely resolved by now... The experienced Klein maintained a relaxed sitting posture and chuckled lightly:
