Compared to before, "The Sun" Derrick had become noticeably smarter, no longer clumsily relying solely on words.
After obtaining Mr. "The Fool"'s consent, he materialized scenes he could recall, presenting his exploration journey and self-identified key points in an intermittent manner before "The Hanged Man," "Justice," "The Magician," and "The World," supplemented by some explanations.
City walls collapsing in darkness, streets passing through destroyed buildings, white and blue covered in dust under the light of beast-skin lanterns, an ancient temple supported by stone pillars, a divine statue hanging upside down on a black cross, a series of murals depicting the "Fallen Creator" bearing humanity's sins, unusually enticing beautiful "mushrooms," an altar where the statue's eyes eerily opened, and a blond little boy named Jack hiding behind—these scenes took shape one by one, reflected in the most direct and realistic way before the eyes of the Tarot Club members.
That gloomy and dark style, that step-by-step crisis atmosphere, that development full of strangeness, made "Justice" Audrey quite excited and extraordinarily interested.
"This is the situation around the City of Silver... It's more captivating than any novel I've read... This is the charm of mystery, the unknown, and terror intertwined... Of course, for the humans living there, this is not beautiful..." Audrey's thoughts wandered, wishing she could immediately become a demigod-level powerhouse and venture into that region ruled by darkness and storms.
"The Fool" Klein watched with some emotion and reflection.
What he felt emotional about was that the City of Silver had managed to survive in such an environment until today—it was truly not easy. What he reflected on was that little "The Sun" was still not sharp enough and lacked experience; otherwise, he could have presented his experiences completely in the form of a documentary or movie—absolutely thrilling, absolutely captivating!
But that would make the narration longer, and my spirituality can't support everyone watching a movie here. Moreover, the longer we stay above the gray fog, the higher the possibility of undesirable changes in the outside world... Klein suddenly felt somewhat fortunate.
"The Hanged Man" Alger finished watching quietly, savored it once, and asked "The Sun" to present again above the bronze long table the key points he had picked out, among which was the mural of the "Fallen Creator" fighting against the six "Evil Gods."
"Which evil gods are these?" Alger looked at the octopus-headed monster wrapped in lightning, treading black waves, wearing a feathered cloak on its back, and holding a trident, feeling some faint associations.
"The Sun" Derrick honestly shook his head:
"I don't know. I thought you would recognize them."
"Justice" Audrey and "The Magician" Fors cast their gazes over simultaneously, examining carefully several times, but still had no guesses.
They originally thought this was six of the eight ancient gods in the City of Silver's mythology, but couldn't find sufficient correspondence—after all, the ancient gods included dragons, elves, giants, an undying bird, and the Destroying Demon Wolf, while only one giant existed in the mural.
This... "The Fool" looked carefully and nearly had his pupils contract.
He had been mindful of his demeanor earlier and hadn't seen this mural clearly the first time. Now he finally noticed something was wrong.
This is very close to the six god statues I saw in the Tudor family underground ruins, just one is the normal version and one is the darkened fallen version... It's really hard to look at directly, especially the Earth Mother Goddess, Lord of Storms, and Eternal Blazing Sun, which have been not only blackened into evil gods but are closer to ugly monsters... Klein didn't feel a sudden realization of finding the truth; it was expected that the "True Creator" would defame the six gods and distort their images.
"But also, we can't completely ignore the possibility shown by this mural—just like I always believed that the orthodox gods had no human images, only symbols, but the statues in the Tudor family underground ruins made me less certain... It seems the establishment of divine images has undergone a long evolution, hiding many secrets..." Klein saw that Miss "Justice" was focusing on examining the mural and completely ignoring Mr. "The Fool"'s attitude, and he breathed a sigh of relief inside.
Because this involved whether little "The Sun" could escape the strange predicament of repeating a small segment of his life, he decided to share what he knew.
Of course, a lengthy introduction and display of the six god images from the underground ruins would not fit Mr. "The Fool"'s identity and positioning, so he planned to manipulate "The World" to accomplish this.
And this also matched his idea of equating "The World" with Sherlock Moriarty.
"The Fool" should just mysteriously say "Night, Sun, Storm, Wisdom, Earth, Giant" and then offer no explanation, not a single extra word of description... Klein imagined for two seconds and had "The World" speak hoarsely:
"I've seen similar statues."
After attracting everyone's attention, he paused and added:
"In an adventure exploring Fourth Epoch ruins."
"Justice" Audrey was very interested but maintained basic reserve:
"Mr. 'World', what kind of statues were they? Could you show them to us? Of course, if you're unwilling or need compensation, we can discuss it."
"No need, because this could also resolve some doubts for me," "The World" said with a dark smile.
He made a show of requesting Mr. "The Fool"'s permission and, after receiving it, materialized the six god statues and their corresponding holy emblems.
A lady reclining against a full moon, her skirt layered but not overly complicated, seemingly hazy yet giving an extraordinarily beautiful feeling. Upon her black dress were dots of starlight, like the night sky, plus the iconic dark holy emblem. "Justice" Audrey immediately recognized this as the Evernight Goddess she believed in.
And this statue was seventy to eighty percent similar to the evil god in the upper left corner of the mural, only her face was closer to human, and there were no eerie eyes hidden in the surrounding environment!
Blasphemy! This is blasphemy against the Goddess! Audrey suddenly felt some anger but quickly calmed down.
As the most famous evil god, the "True Creator" having his followers defame the Goddess was predictable... But why were there human-shaped statues of the Goddess in the underground ruins... Didn't they say the orthodox gods only had symbols? Audrey frowned slightly, falling into deep thought.
"The Hanged Man" Alger, however, felt somewhat enlightened and said with a sigh:
