Lin Lei walked out of the hall and followed the corridor to the open grassland.

He took a deep breath, savoring the breeze brushing against his face, and a smile of relief spread across his face. "That move Moulder pulled on me before he died has really caused one headache after another. But now that all the Chief Gods have had their say, this matter should be over—unless that third token of信物 pops up, or that Supreme God's Edict shows itself!"

"Boss." Bei Bei ran over, his face lit up with joy.

"Father." Taylor, Sasha, and the others were in the distance and came walking over.

Lin Lei looked at this group of his loved ones. "No matter what, this Supreme God's token involves the Chief Gods. Because of the news Moulder spread, the Chief Gods might give me a hard time at most. They shouldn't sink so low as to threaten my family." Throughout all of history, across countless ages, Lin Lei had never once heard of a Chief God threatening or coercing a god's relatives.

"Boss, are you all right?" Bei Bei walked up in front of Lin Lei.

"Bei Bei, just look at Old Third's expression and you should be able to tell," Yeru said with a laugh.

"Where's Grandpa Berut? Is he alone in the hall?" Bei Bei asked, confused.

"He's discussing some secret matters with the Blood Peak Chief God," Lin Lei said.

Bei Bei, Yeru, and the others were stunned. Bei Bei blurted out, "The Blood Peak Chief God came too?" No one outside had noticed the Blood Peak Chief God's arrival at all. The Blood Peak Chief God had condensed an energy clone directly inside the hall, so the people outside had no idea.

"Your Grandpa Berut has come," Lin Lei told Bei Bei with a smile. Just then, Berut walked out of the hall, a smile on his face.

After stepping outside, Berut's gaze locked onto Lin Lei and the others, and he walked over toward them.

"Grandpa." Bei Bei rushed to meet him.

Berut smiled and patted Bei Bei on the head, then looked at Lin Lei and said cheerfully, "Everything's taken care of, Lin Lei. I have matters to attend to, so I'll be going now." Having said this, Berut actually sent Lin Lei a soul transmission again: "Lin Lei, remember this—whether you obtain those nine Spirit Pearls or not, never admit that they're in your possession. And if you do get them, hide them well."

This soul transmission startled Lin Lei badly.

"Lord Berut?" Lin Lei replied through soul transmission, surprised. He was grateful to Berut and regarded him as an elder.

On the surface, Berut was all smiles, but through the soul transmission he said solemnly, "Don't worry about the rest. If you can't get them, so be it. But if you do, make sure to hide them properly and never admit it. Just deny everything to the bitter end, and you'll be fine." After the transmission, Berut cheerfully exchanged a few more words with everyone, then departed on his own.

Lin Lei watched Berut's retreating figure, his confusion growing deeper.

"What did Lord Berut mean by that? He shouldn't know about my Supreme God's token yet, but those words..." Lin Lei couldn't make sense of it.

Time flowed on. In the blink of an eye, a hundred years passed.

Over these hundred years, Lin Lei's Water System divine clone relaxed and spent time with his family, while his other three clones and his true body remained in secluded cultivation. He had long since begun working on the sixth profound mystery of the Fire Elemental Laws. Unfortunately, this sixth mystery was also the most mysterious and powerful among the Fire System—the Profound Mystery of Explosion—and Lin Lei's progress was agonizingly slow.

The Profound Mystery of Explosion worked like a volcanic eruption: vast amounts of energy accumulated and then detonated in an instant, producing devastating power.

The Greenfire, with its teleportation-like movement, the Fire System's material attacks and soul attacks—all of them were considered top-notch, and they were all related to this Profound Mystery of Explosion. It sounded simple enough, but to truly delve into it and achieve complete mastery was extraordinarily difficult.

His progress in the Fire Elemental Laws was slow.

The path of fusing the four elemental laws was even slower. After fusing the Water System's Round Softness Profound Mystery with the Earth System's Earth Pulse, Lin Lei's cultivation speed dropped sharply. He made no further breakthroughs.

"Whoosh whoosh~~"

A fierce wind howled as snowflakes filled the sky.

The Heavenly Sacrifice Mountain Range seemed dressed in silver, looking utterly dreamlike. The number of guarding warriors in the Four Divine Beast Families had dwindled considerably. With a Perfection-level expert holding down the fort, who would dare provoke the Four Divine Beast Families? Naturally, there was no need to be as tense as in the old days.

Along the Dragon Path of the Heavenly Sacrifice Mountain Range, the occasional silhouette of a guarding warrior could be seen.

A metallic life form shaped like a giant hammer flew in from the distance, then halted above the outer perimeter of the Four Divine Beast Families' territory in the mountain range. The hammer-shaped metallic life form dissipated with a boom, and a tall figure appeared in midair. The newcomer stood a full two and a half meters tall, wearing black trousers on his lower half and only a back plate on his upper body, leaving his thick, powerful arms exposed.

His short red hair, only an inch long, stood up like steel needles.

"Who goes there?" A squad of Azure Dragon Family guards flew over.

The burly man spoke with a smile. "Go and inform your Elder Lin Lei that an old friend of his, 'Mosi,' has come to visit." His voice was gentle and pleasant to the ear, carrying not the slightest hint of roughness.

The guards exchanged glances.

Elder Lin Lei's old friend? They could tell from the way the man carried himself that his bearing was far from ordinary.

"Please wait a moment. I'll go pass along the message," one of the guards said, and immediately turned and flew into the mountain range.

"Who's Mosi? Have any of you heard of him?"

"Just look at him—he's probably some powerful expert. A friend of Elder Lin Lei's, he must be at the level of a Commander or City Lord."

The guards quietly soul-transmitted among themselves, discussing the big man before them. Over the years, many powerful figures had come to visit Lin Lei. These guards knew full well... they couldn't afford to offend any of these guests. Whoever came to see Lin Lei, the guards treated with courtesy.

After a long while.

"Haha, Mosi!" Laughter rang out as two figures flew over from the distance.

Mosi focused his gaze and smiled. "Lin Lei, it's been a long time."

The newcomers were Lin Lei and a guard. Having learned that Mosi had arrived, Lin Lei had hurried over to welcome him personally, and he said with a smile, "It certainly has been a long time, Mr. Mosi. Come, let's talk inside." The two of them then flew side by side along the Dragon Path, heading deeper into the mountain range.

"Two thousand years have passed since we last met, and yet I never imagined that you, who were only a mid-level god back then, had reached Perfection. When I heard the news, I could hardly believe it," Mosi said with a hearty laugh. "I only confirmed it afterward through the Chief Gods. Truly admirable."
