Chapter Forty-Nine: Three Months

After Keisteier finished speaking, the entire hall fell silent in an instant.

Lin Lei's mind raced: "This Keisteier's teacher is within the Azure Manor, but it's still far too distant. There's too little time left for me now — a round trip would absolutely not be enough! Could I... send Dilia there?"

If he sent Dilia there, the travel time would be cut significantly.

But if he actually sent her away, there wouldn't be enough time to find anyone else to help.

"Keisteier!" Lin Lei fixed his gaze on the other man. "Tell me — if I bring Dilia to your teacher, how confident is he that he can save her?"

Keisteier furrowed his brow, hesitated briefly, then looked at Lin Lei and said with certainty: "If my teacher takes action, I can't promise a hundred percent chance. But there's at least a ninety percent chance!"

"Ninety percent?" Lin Lei glanced back at Dilia, who remained unconscious.

He then turned to the clan leader, Gaiserson. "Clan Leader, there's no other option now. We have to send Dilia to that Mr. Alphonsas."

But Gaiserson frowned and slowly shook his head. "Lin Lei, don't rush. There's another way."

"Another way?" Lin Lei was taken aback.

"Big Brother," the cold-faced White Tiger clan leader spoke up. "How about this — I'll go personally and bring that Alphonsas here. Normally, a round trip for a Seven-Star Demon would take at least half a year. But with me going... even bringing Alphonsas back on the return, I estimate three months would suffice."

A surge of joy welled up inside Lin Lei.

Among the Four Divine Beast Families, the White Tiger clan was the "Wind-attribute Divine Beast." Of all the experts in the Four Divine Beast Families, in terms of speed, this White Tiger clan leader was absolutely number one — far faster than an ordinary Seven-Star Demon.

"No need." Gaiserson shook his head.

"Clan Leader?" Lin Lei said urgently.

Gaiserson smiled calmly. "Don't worry, Lin Lei. I just sent a mental transmission ordering our intelligence operatives to inform the Manor Lord of the Azure Manor about your situation... We should have an answer shortly."

Lin Lei was stunned, and everyone in the hall was taken aback.

This matter involved the Manor Lord of the Azure Manor?

"Lin Lei." Puslo walked over and clapped him on the shoulder with a smile. "Don't worry. The Manor Lord's people are spread throughout the entire Azure Manor. Reaching Alphonsas won't take long at all. And who knows — the Manor Lord might even know of other powerhouses who can save Dilia."

Lin Lei's eyes brightened.

The Manor Lord of the Azure Manor, as the master of the Azure Manor, commanded influence that far surpassed that of the Four Divine Beast Families. After all, even the Eight Great Families dared not invade the Heavenly Sacrifice Mountain Range because of the Manor Lord.

The sheer power of this Manor Lord could easily be imagined.

"Will the Manor Lord truly be willing to help me?" Lin Lei felt a twinge of unease. He had no connection to the man whatsoever.

"Don't worry. Our intelligence operatives should have a response soon," Gaiserson said with a smile. Lin Lei nodded, forcing himself to suppress his anxiety while silently praying in his heart.

A moment later—

"We have a response." Gaiserson's smile grew even brighter; clearly, the intelligence operatives had communicated with him via divine sense.

Everyone in the hall immediately turned to look at Gaiserson.

"Ha ha, good news, Lin Lei! The Manor Lord has spoken." Gaiserson beamed at Lin Lei, visibly delighted. "That Alphonsas is an old friend of his. His people should be able to reach Alphonsas within three days, and Alphonsas himself should be able to arrive here within three months."

Lin Lei felt a wave of relief wash over him.

"Not only that!" Gaiserson continued with a smile. "The Manor Lord himself will also be coming — he says he'll personally help with Dilia's treatment."

"Big Brother, does the Manor Lord know soul healing as well?" the Grand Elder asked in surprise. "Isn't the Manor Lord skilled in physical combat?" The Grand Elder and the others vividly recalled the scene when the Manor Lord of the Azure Manor had once stepped in to stop the Eight Great Families.

It had been truly terrifying!

It was because of this that even someone as noble as Gaiserson would respectfully address him as "Manor Lord." After all, if not for the Manor Lord of the Azure Manor, the Four Divine Beast Families would likely have been wiped out entirely.

"Ha ha, I was somewhat surprised too. But if the Manor Lord says so, he won't make empty promises!" Gaiserson looked at Lin Lei with a smile. "Lin Lei, now with both Alphonsas and the Manor Lord coming one after the other, you can rest easy."

"Who would have thought the Manor Lord would be so formidable in soul healing as well!" the Vermilion Bird clan leader exclaimed in admiration.

Lin Lei felt a rush of emotion.

"Thank you — thank you all." Lin Lei looked around at everyone and spoke earnestly. "Since Mr. Alphonsas will take quite some time to arrive, I'll head back for now."

"Mm." Gaiserson nodded with a smile. "Lin Lei, go home and get some rest. Don't worry too much — with the Manor Lord himself stepping in and his influence, it'll be easy to bring in additional experts as well. Saving Dilia will surely succeed."

Lin Lei managed a smile and nodded.

Then, surging his Earth Godforce across his body, he naturally formed a floating cloud bed. He placed Wendey upon it, then picked up Dilia. With a slight nod to the elders present, he flew straight out of the hall.

"Alright, everyone, you may return," Gaiserson announced.

The Four Divine Beast Family elders took their leave and departed in small groups, flying out of the hall. In a short while, only Gaiserson and Puslo remained. They exchanged a glance.

Gaiserson immediately activated his God Domain, isolating their voices, then spoke urgently: "Puslo, about what I mentioned last time..."

Lin Lei returned to the great canyon of the Heavenly Sacrifice Mountain Range. Each day he stayed by Dilia's side, or tended to Wendey. Of course, he would occasionally ask other members of the Yulan lineage to help watch over Wendey.

A thin mist hung in the air. Baruch stood in the open ground, gazing toward Lin Lei's dwelling.

"Father," Rein said, approaching. "Are you worried about Lin Lei and Dilia?"

Baruch sighed. "Yes. Lin Lei has been back for half a month now, but in all that time, he hasn't shared a single meal with us. He's stayed locked in his room the entire time, or at most standing at the doorway. In his eyes, besides Dilia, there's probably only his son."
