The moment those words left his mouth, Lin Lei's expression changed.

If not for his consideration of Aliquen, Solomon would have killed Lin Lei long ago. After all, in Solomon's eyes, Lin Lei must be one of Aliquen's people. He naturally wouldn't dare to easily provoke Aliquen.

"Solomon, you bastard!" Bei Bei immediately roared in fury. "I already told you — my boss absolutely did not leak your secret! How can you just decide he's the one who spilled it and then try to kill him? You're a real bastard, a bastard!!!"

Bei Bei wanted nothing more than to kill Solomon right then, but his strength was far from Solomon's!

"Solomon, Lin Lei has been inside the metal lifeform the entire journey — how could he possibly have had a chance to leak your secret?" Dilia spoke up anxiously, terrified that Lin Lei might be killed.

Lin Lei simply watched Solomon in silence. By now he had a clear picture of what kind of man Solomon was. He was someone who disguised himself masterfully — capable of enduring and feigning benevolence for the sake of his goals, all without anyone detecting the truth.

But once those goals failed, this sort of person would reveal his grotesque true face — even more deranged and terrifying than any ordinary person!

"Die! You have to die! Not just you, Lin Lei — your wife and your brother Bei Bei, all of you have to die!!!" Solomon screamed like a madman, pointing at Lin Lei, Dilia, and Bei Bei.

Hearing that her own brother intended to kill Bei Bei as well, Nisa grew frantic.

"Brother, Bei Bei, he—" Nisa pleaded.

"Nisa!" Solomon barked. "You still can't see their true faces? That Bei Bei only got close to you with bad intentions."

Nisa couldn't help turning to look at Bei Bei.

But Bei Bei's gaze was ice-cold, fixed on Solomon. "Solomon, I hate being slandered more than anything. Not only did you slander me, you want to kill my boss and the rest. Then..." Bei Bei glanced at Nisa beside him. "Nisa, don't blame me."

"Bei Bei, what are you doing?" Lin Lei sensed something was off about Bei Bei.

With a cold expression, a black dagger suddenly appeared in Bei Bei's hand — the very dagger Belute had given him.

"This is—" Aliquen's eyes lit up, and he looked at Bei Bei with surprise.

Then Bei Bei opened his mouth, and a pitch-black spherical bead floated out. The dark bead flew straight to the dagger's hilt and sank into a perfectly sized groove in the handle. Instantly, a stream of cyan energy began surging across the dagger's surface.

"Ssssss~~" Space trembled.

Even without being swung, the cyan energy alone was enough to make space shudder.

"What the hell is that?" Solomon, Nisa, and the others — including the surviving highgod demon Sbori — were all stunned. They could clearly feel the threat this dagger posed to them. Not a single one of them was confident they could withstand a strike from it.

Lin Lei and Dilia were equally bewildered; they had no idea Bei Bei had been hiding such a trump card. But after the black bead fused with the dagger, its terrifying aura was unmistakable to all of them. "It's terrifying... even a highgod probably couldn't endure it."

Lin Lei had long believed that given how much Belute valued Bei Bei, he must have given the boy a lifesaving trump card.

Now it seemed this was exactly that.

"Bei Bei, don't!" Nisa cried out.

But Bei Bei stared at Solomon coldly and said, "Solomon — die." The dagger in his hand shot forward—

"Whoosh!"

A streak of black light flashed, and space split open like a sheet of paper — it effortlessly tore through the Plane of Hell. The sheer power was staggering. Solomon's face changed, but the black light was far too fast for him to escape!

Suddenly, a massive crimson-red palm materialized out of nowhere, and the space around it twisted into a vortex.

"Boom!"

The black light collided with the enormous red palm.

The black light immediately flew back to Bei Bei's hand. Bei Bei's face had gone noticeably pale. He stared at Aliquen in shock.

Aliquen himself had been forced back several dozen meters. He gazed at the dagger in Bei Bei's hand with astonishment, thinking to himself: "So it's true. I never expected Belute to give such a priceless treasure to this kid. His relationship with Belute must be extraordinary."

Aliquen was shaken to his core.

He knew full well how terrifying Belute was. His mind racing, he made an instant decision: "With that treasure in this brat's hands, I absolutely cannot kill him — otherwise Belute will certainly find out, and having him on my tail would be a nightmare."

Lin Lei and the others — including the highgod demons and Solomon's group — were all stunned. They had witnessed firsthand just how terrifying Aliquen's strength was; the three Edwards brothers hadn't even been able to resist him. Yet Bei Bei's bizarre dagger strike had actually forced him back.

If only they knew...

"Bei Bei, that move of yours?" Lin Lei exclaimed in shock.

Bei Bei sent a mental transmission: "I'm not that strong. It was Grandpa Belute's power stored inside the spirit bead that knocked him back — basically Grandpa Belute beat him, not me." In truth, Bei Bei had merely served as a conduit.

Aliquen glanced at Bei Bei, then shifted his cold gaze to Solomon. "Solomon — to protect you, I just destroyed a highgod artifact I've been nurturing for hundreds of millions of years."

Only now did Lin Lei and the others notice—

The transparent glove on Aliquen's right hand had been torn apart!

"That Belute really lives up to his reputation," Aliquen thought with a shudder. Though he was a reclusive powerhouse, the gap between him and the suddenly risen, legendary figure "Belute" was still vast.

Aliquen seethed with fury, his eyes boring into Solomon.

A highgod artifact nurtured over hundreds of millions of years — how precious was that to its owner? After all, how could a purchased artifact possibly compare to one nurtured for so long?

"I told you — that Dilia and that Bei Bei both have to die!" Solomon said in a low voice.

"That Bei Bei cannot be killed. The others can all die! Solomon, don't push the limits of my patience," Aliquen replied flatly.

"Fine." Solomon nodded. "I can spare that brat." But deep down, the one he hated most remained Lin Lei.

"Pusiro, do it," Aliquen said impassively.

"Meow~~" The golden kitten let out a soft cry.

In a bizarre turn, the stone walls of the cave suddenly began pressing inward from all sides, and the space inside shrank rapidly. Lin Lei's group paled as the walls bore down on them. The highgod demons immediately roared and slashed furiously at the stone.

"Boom!" "Boom!"

Explosions rang out one after another, but even their most powerful strikes gouged out only half a meter — and the stone repaired itself instantly.
