Holding the book, Lin Lei immediately flipped to the "Chapter on the Earth Law."
The Earth Law was divided into six major mysteries: "Earth Element," "Power," "Earth Walk," "Life Force," "Gravitational Space," and "Earth Pulse." The book offered a brief introduction to each of these six mysteries along with descriptions of their power.
It even included some simple applications.
"Earth Pulse, used like this?" Lin Lei read and couldn't help but shake his head. "The person who wrote this book seems to only have a superficial understanding of Earth Pulse."
Having comprehended Earth Pulse himself, Lin Lei could naturally tell that the author either only knew the surface of it, or was deliberately holding back.
Those so-called application methods were all extremely basic, with rather unimpressive power.
Lin Lei didn't care at all about the application descriptions. What he valued was the descriptions of the various law mysteries.
"So that's how it is!" Lin Lei exclaimed in admiration after reading the description of the "Power" mystery. "I used to think the Earth Law included a concept called 'Heaviness,' but it turns out that's just one aspect of the Power mystery."
The Power mystery was indeed one of the most advanced mysteries within the Earth Law when it came to physical attacks — quite complex.
As he read, Lin Lei lost all sense of time passing.
"So that's what Earth Walk is." Lin Lei marveled. "Back then, Heidson, the 'Boulder Sword Saint' of the O'Brien Empire, had already begun to touch the edges of the Earth Walk mystery."
Back then, Heidson had casually taken one step and appeared dozens of meters away. Lin Lei and the others had been quite shocked at the time.

The Wind Elemental Law possessed the most mysteries — a total of nine. They were: "Wind Element," "Clone Technique," "Sound Wave," "Sound Music," "Wind Walk," "Wind's Space," "Dimension," "Fast," and "Slow."
Though there were nine, their power varied depending on the powerhouse wielding them.
Moreover, mysteries within the same elemental law could be fused together. Any two could merge, any three could merge... different combinations applied to different attacks produced truly wondrous power.
"So that's how Wind's Space works." Lin Lei's eyes gleamed as he read.
"Dimension — now this is the most powerful physical attack of the Wind Elemental Law." Lin Lei's heart trembled as he read the description of the "Dimension" mystery.
A long time passed —
"Hm?" Lin Lei looked around in confusion. "Why has the light gone out?"
"Boss, it's already dark." Bei Bei and Dilia both laughed. "You've been reading for most of the day."
Lin Lei looked up. Sure enough, there was a sickle-shaped purple moon hanging on the horizon.
"Haha..." Lin Lei couldn't help but laugh as well. "This really is a great book. Even though reading it hasn't improved my comprehension of the laws in the slightest, at least it's shown me the general direction." Lin Lei understood, of course, that true comprehension could only come from himself.

They needed to reach the Darkblue Prefecture on Blood Peak Continent.
Lin Lei only knew that they first had to leave Wisteria Continent, then cross the vast Starry Mist Sea before arriving at Blood Peak Continent on the far shore.
In the first-floor hall of Wisteria Castle, Lin Lei and the others hadn't noticed the book counter during their last visit. This time, after asking the service staff, they learned where books were sold. It turned out... the places to buy and sell goods in Wisteria Castle weren't limited to the counters.
There were also separate rooms.
The books were displayed in some of these independent rooms along the edges of the hall. The three of them stepped inside, where very few people were browsing.
"So many books!" Bei Bei exclaimed in amazement, looking at the stacks upon stacks of books.
"Look carefully," Lin Lei said. "Find something about the geography of the entire Netherworld."
